Liverpool (A) 29/12 Build-Up & Match Thread

I find this view ridiculous. How anybody can like blantantly wrong decisions and cheating can't like sport. You may as well go and watch the wrestling.
Yes, we're diametrically opposed on our views. In your quest for sanitisation may I suggest you watch chess or bottles of bleach? ;)

I’ve half given up on the VAR debate because everyone has their own interpretation as to its use. Personally I’m finding the microanalysis of some half blurred pixelated images with crosshairs to see if a foot or armpit is marginally offside has become ridiculous.
The clear message to those trying and failing to manage this system is has there been a clear and obvious error or has some team gained an unfair advantage.
For our disallowed goal there was no advantage, it came from skill and determination from Jonny, a bit of luck and a good finish from Neto.
Football is a game of mistakes, luck, pace, skill and passion. Sadly this is what is being robbed from us and I fear we’re gonna forget some truly memorable goals and moments for and against us because of VAR
This has all been said before, and may be this is the price of progress, but we have to learn from mistakes and controversy VAR is creating and how to use and develop the technology for the good of the game
Let’s move on

A Liverpool supporting mate just asked me if I'm worried about Klopp hugging Traore at the end of the game. He said every player he does that with they seem to end up signing!

Can't say I noticed it tbh.

Just seen the Johnny incident on sky, basically looks like Johnny went to grab the ball. The ball boy prevents him retrieving it Johnny runs away from it. If anything the ball boy goes for him. Complete non story also the ref is looking straight at it and doesn’t and does nothing.
Simple case of Liverpool need to tell their ball boys they’re there to return the ball asap and that only.

Traore spoke very positively about Liverpool before the game, can't remember exactly where I saw it though. Nice thing for us is he would now command close to £50million perhaps?

We should launch an investigation into an assault

PGMOL are the problem, and they always have been. The very idea that we're implementing VAR differently to countries that have already had it in place for years speaks volumes - they think they know better, they think they know best, and they've made a complete fucking mess of it. As always.

As said if anything the ball boy is the aggressive one, apparently the complaint didn’t come from the ball boy or Liverpool.

I assume they are investigating the ball boy rather than Jonny if that’s the incident?

If not then Wolves should complain to Liverpool about the conduct of their ball boys

Liked the look of Kilman. Might have a player here. The days of Batth and Stearman are thankfully a distant memory.

Watched a interview with Shaka Hislop who was part of the committee who had a meeting with the Premier managers.
He said that they were in agreement ,having the pitch side monitors viewed by the referees, but the Premier League people said no.

Nothing in it - Klopp often does that & however rich Liverpool are they aren't going to sign everyone

How come they are still there set up at every Premier League game with someone sat next to it ready to fire it up? That job must be currently the mostly pointless job in England.

For me, var isnt for shit that a normal motioned replay wouldnt question.
That goal goes against us yesterday and i wouldnt moan,
When you see an whole half body offside then thats for var not all the miniscule bollocks we have now.
Salah and Mane went down 4 times yesterday trying to win penalties, nothing given how about var'ing that and dishing some yellows out....cut the cheating out the game.
Anyway onto Watford and heres a blinder from their forum.

"Man for man we are superior. Traore is a poor mans Sarr, Jiminez a poor mans Deeney, Neves a poor version of Capoue. If we continue the form shown last 3, we'll stroll it"

I guess they think that Moutinho is just a poor mans Will Hughes :jack:

updated table suggests a draw with liverpool. it's nice to know that feeling like decisions go against us more than usual is at least somewhat corroborated.
