Liverpool (A) 19/5: Build-Up & Match Thread

Rayan taking cross-blocking lessons from Doc.

Poor from Ait Nouri that. Has to close the crosser down quicker.

That's on Bueno, jumping to make himself 5'6''. Not even looking the right way in the end, why.

Yes it is he’s endangering an opponent and used excessive force whether it’s given the other way is another hypothetical argument
Excessive force is over egging it a bit.

You see plenty of challenges that accidentally go over the top of the ball and still don't get reds.

A Liverpool player does not get sent off for the same thing though, do they
Not in that manner, no.

If it's given as red straight away I don't think even a City player would get it undone.

Once your body is coming down on a opponent then it is.

Ref saw it. Gave a yellow. it was slightly high and made worse by slow motion (which should not be used when reviewing a decision). It was the sort of tackle that happens in most games, split second late with no intent but important thing is ref’s decision is yellow card…VAR should leave that sort of thing alone if the threshold is clear and obvious. If ref hadn’t seen anything maybe different.

Dublin and the Cardiff supporting twat on final score saying this is why we need VAr and Wolves should not complain about it

Prove intent? If that type of tackle happens in every game most teams would run out of players very quickly. Has the opponent been endangered by Semedo? Yes end off it’s an error and a clear one

Nobody marking Salah because...?

Sooner have Doherty on than bellegarde trying to defend

Another fun afternoon following ourselves
