No the keeper saves it the ball loops as it drops back down she scoops it out but it crossed the line.

Goal then. Ball is live while it's in motion, shootout or not. There's not even an argument there!

The grey area with shootouts are ones where it hits the woodwork and rebounds in off the keeper's back. Where I would personally say no goal.

Our women haven't had anything like a proper manager since Sundhage, and Alex Morgan is just a non-entity at this point.

Well done to the Swedes, fully deserved. Hopefully this is a bit of a wakeup call for USSF that we can't simply take success on the women's side for granted.

I thought Sweden were garbage. 1 shot on target the whole 90 minutes and defensively they were shite, had to rely on their keeper all the time.

USA were OK once they decided to attack but bringing Rapinoe on was a mistake, she's nowhere near international level anymore.
