You have a strange downer on Toney, not for me to judge why, but players have moved the ball from the place free kicks were given for at least the last 40 odds years and I have a strong suspicion before that. The ref is there to stop that from happening, he didn't. I think you need to look deeper as to why you hate Ivan Toney so much rather than try to analyse my moral compass

There's no guarantee either Everton or Forest will be docked points as the PL have made clear that a 10pt deduction isn't precedent. Could be a fine could be a smaller deduction assuming they are found guilty

It has to be this season. That is what has been said and they said the appeals process must be concluded by April. Which part of April isn't clear!

He’s saying that them being docked 10 before does not mean they’ll be docked 10 again.

In the court of public opinion maybe, but I’m pretty sure Tony is right and they’ve said they explicitly aren’t treating these things as “precedent setting”.

That's not been published as far as I'm aware. There's no set penalty including it having to be points. That's an issue for me, but it is the way it is

I’ve heard it somewhere. Think Everton’s argument was that they just came up with an arbitrary punishment as they never actually had decided one before the charge.

Surely they can’t issue fines. Don’t think Marinakis will give a shit about that, same with PIF, Boehly etc.

There's plenty of articles out there to say they could, or any points deduction they choose. There isn't a fixed penalty

There certainly is no sliding scale of published penalty. It is all rather opaque. However, as far as I can discern once the figures are submitted and the toss is argued over the bits on the edges of the calculation then it’s a black and white you are over and guilty or you are not. And all the clubs signed up to this.

It is interesting that we are being held up as an example as to why these two should be heavily punished as we saw we were in the shit and sold players giving ourselves a supposed sporting disadvantage but making sure we didn’t break the rules. Plenty of fans of other clubs seem to be saying that. It sure how comfortable I am with that but it seems to be out there.

Just watched the Forest highlights, first thing, what were they thinking with having Forest's change kit as predominantly pink?!

Secondly the Toney love in is sickening, he was banned for breaking the rules, this isn't like David Brooks or Christian Eriksen! The media are so weird at times.

Not concerned by pink but was concerned that it was a colour clash. Not as bad as others recently but still not easy for me.
As for Toney, yes the media love in is strange.
