Me too, I always thought he'd come back quickly from that slight dip in form but when Liverpool come calling with a decent offer, what can you do?
Old old ground but our model has always been to sign players and sell them at a high profit under Fosun.

The manager could have sold Jota or he could have sold Adama and he backed the wrong horse, which was also the horse that most Wolves fans were backing at the time.

Fucking clowns were trying to tell me that Adama was the better player.

Do you think we had any offers for Adama though?

Anyway, I realised I still miss Diogo a lot. Cunha is doing a good job of helping me move on though.

Probably not anyone actively approaching us but if we'd made it known he was available for ~£40m then I reckon we could have got rid of him.

The hype around him (never actually matched in reality if you watched him for 90 minutes every week) was huge at the time.

Yeah fair enough.

He’d had a decent season to be fair, with a spell in the middle of it where he actually seemed to get it. Started playing on the inside when needed to which made him such a threat with how he could carry the ball.

Well he's gone now but at the time he was a really exciting player who linked pretty well with Raul. His move to Fulham hasn't gone so well and given he pulled his hamstring in Sept., his recovery is taking a very long time.

Absolutely nothing exciting about watching a player consistently spanner the ball into the crowd or make the wrong decision 9/10 times.

Anyway, been done to death on here and those that love him will always think he's far better than he was.

I hated watching him play, Cunha, Jota and Neto are all far more exciting than that fraud.

Appeared until 2nd September then got injured then made one appearance against Villa on 12th November then promptly disappeared again. Appeared on Football Focus for them too

There was a small period where he genuinely exciting to watch.....probably ended with the run that won the penalty v Sevilla.

He did have teams terrified of him in that spell. Spurs had a rota for who was going to slice him in half to ensure they kept 11 on the pitch. Kane even appeared near his full back to take him out.

Sadly before and after that he was all pace and very little end product. Shame Spurs decided that spending an extra £5m was beyond them....twice.

The judge of a good player is one that makes the best percentage decision in whatever situation. Adama regularly didn't do that and couldn't seem to learn how to do it either.
Genuinely a liability in our own half.
Would have been ok, if all that was required was to stand out on the wing on halfway and run at the opposition. Having said that when he did that his delivery wasn't often precise.
I dont think anyone knew what he was going to do, including himself.
A great pity really.

He will always have Man City away.
