Without Grealish, Phillips, Stones, Haaland, Nunes and for most of the game De Bruyne and Oscar Bobb.
Probably missed a few.
...and they are strong in the second half of the season. Wonder why?

Love to know which offside that was for, if it’s for Longlet in the middle it’s utter bollocks

Yep another VAR masterclass where no one has a clue why the goal was disallowed.

I honestly think they’ve judged Lenglet to be interfering with Play even though Pickford has a clear view of the shot.

They didn’t seem to conclusively see whether Bailey was offside. It also looked like a foul by Lenglet that was potentially the reason Bailey was on anyway then they seemed to rule it out for someone interfering who wasn’t.

It's Bailey, thing is he looked offside off one still, you can see the lines of the grass and the six yard box, but it took forever for no reason

Yep so fairly obvious in the end, so why the f**k did they take nearly five minutes looking at things that happened after it?

I know I got told off last I said this (rightfully given the PPG diff with/without him), but I just don’t see it with DCL.

DCL has to bury that, it's a terrible finish
Lack of confidence. A striker needs to commit the keeper and he just took it early as he had no confidence he could chip him when closer up or take it around him. It's the sort of thing Bully did in his early days for us but he wasn't really lacking confidence... more over excitement in his case. DCL will never have the same instinct as Bully though.

Didn’t DCL score a lot of goals under Ancellotti with one-touch finishes? Too much time to think and he goes all Andy Keogh.

Loads of options for him there. Go high and hard, a proper placed finish into either bottom corner, dink, round the keeper...he shouldn't have given Martinez a prayer.

Villa persist with high line Everton knew how to thread a ball through they could have been in a few times.

Indeed and Martinez made it easier for him by coming out to just before the penalty spot and stopping. That should have left DCL plenty of time and space to find the net. I never saw JR miss a one on one. Clinical he was. Hate to say it but Kane is the same.

Love how everyone is always sniping at Villa's high line like it's a flaw rather than a key part of their success.

This is what gives me hope for when we play them at Vile Park. They leave themselves very vulnerable to the counter.
