I don’t think he is committed before the header, Sanchez was nowhere near the ball and it was already past him before he even collided with Diaz. The red card should have been for intent as all he intended to do was hit Diaz with his arm and his leg. The still doesn’t show how ludicrously late it was and how he wasn’t even in the same postcode as the ball.The keeper has just done a hennessey starfish to block the attempt. He’s already committed to that action before he’s headed it. The guy heads it past him and they collide.
Good bravery to go in their and score. You can’t send him off for DOGSO as he’s scored. So your only other option is dangerous play. I personally don’t think it is, the force comes from the speed Diaz is running at as Sanchez is practically stationary trying to make a block.
There was more force from Ederson on Jota and and he was sent off for DOGSO and not dangerous play.
