But not Matt Doherty or Roger Johnson.
I’m pretty sure it was against Leicester Ward backed off from the halfway line all the way into the area and still didn’t get a tackle in as Tbey practically walked the ball into the net. I’m sure Deutsch will be able to provide more detail. It was the low point of a sad decline from just about passable at fullback to comical.

The Ward back off was bad but not as bad as the Doherty masterclass or the Roger Johnson shambles.

Wrexham's potential promotion party off to a rough start. 1 down after 1 min

The Utd one away against Park is what sticks with me as it was at the end of the game and cost us a well earned point. Johnny is correct though we've had worse

1-1 at HT

Insane that if the score stays like that still won't be promoted with 108 points

I know the Wrexham story isn’t for everyone but Paul Rudd being in the pub with the fans before kick off is bizarre in a fun way.

3-1.

Looks like they are coming up. Just needed to hit 110 points to do it.

Wrexham promoted.

Having lived in the area at the start of the saga that almost ended them I am delighted.
The owner at the time wanted the land the Stadium is on to sell for housing development and that rattled on for a few years. In the end he set up a business, sold the ground to himself and then gave the club notice of their eviction. Classy fucker that he was. In the end administration and a court finding the twat did not own the stadium saved them.

I am enjoying watching what’s going on at Wrexham but you’ve got to feel for Notts County a bit. Hopefully they win the play offs.
There are some leagues, I think Italian third tier? Where qualifications for playoffs isn't just based on places, but points too.
So if a team is well ahead, then if the other teams aren't within a certain points range they don't have playoffs, or at least don't have all of them.
Great from a sporting point of view, don't think the TV people would be too happy...

69k there yesterday more of an indication that Wembley shouldn’t be used for the SF.
Call me old fashioned but the old system worked just fine.
Having a game that distance and at that time for both clubs causes issue.
If it had gone to extra time it wouldn’t have finished until gone 1900, also consider in a SF both sets of fans pile out the same time because there’s no trophy presentation.
Can take over an hour just to get on the tube then another 30-45 minutes to get to your train station so you’re looking at trains gone 2100. Then the cost of a return ticket.
Put it this way if went as say a family of 4 you’re looking at £4-500 for the weekend much rather put that towards a holiday.
Conversely if you’re staying over enjoy the accommodation prices.
Put it this way the Watford Semi final finished about the same time I didn’t get back to Shropshire until 1am.

Also, it isn't necessary for fans of 2 Northern clubs to be travelling the distance they did. Surely makes sense to use a group relatively central to them?

I'm another who is not a fan of Wembley for SF.
Whole point is to be rewarded with the final is the trip to Wembley.

City fans must be bored of attending the place....poor sods.

I know initially it was introduced to try and cover costs of building the thing but that has long gone. Now it's just a bit of pointless greed.
Plenty of stadiums more than good enough to host them and with better infrastructure close by for the fans as well.

I don't disagree, although we took twice as many people to Wembley than we would have done Villa Park, which would have been the likeliest destination in the old system, so isn't without a positive

I agree with you but hypocrite that I am, I was glad of it when we got there, hadn't been to the new Wembley (for football) and don't know hen well paying another visit.

Wembley was pretty terrible for the semi-final to be honest but similarly I am quite glad that I did get to see Wolves play there, for all I know I'll never see them there again.

Shocking penalty decision in Albion's favour. Such spawny bastards.
