It's not insurmountable. But you aren't fixing it in January, and especially not when you inherit a team averaging 0.66 PPG over nearly half a season (even if we ignore the absolute horseshit that was March-May 2022 on top).

We'd have basically a new squad as anyone any good would leave, and probably a new manager too as I don't see Lopetegui being up for that league.

Impossible to say because we could get recruitment spot on as we did in 2017 or totally wrong as we did in any other number of years.

But it isn't a good league.
My assumption was based on only losing a few of the current squad and Lopetegui deciding he’s got work to finish
Maybe I’m being naive.

I think we only need another decent CB and possible another striker (depends on Sasa and Silva). We have a good midfield and fullbacks, and plenty of half decent wide attackers.

This is a flaw in xG when you apply it to individual games (which you shouldn't do anyway IMO/IMV).

I'd be shooting from anywhere against Kepa as he is dreadful and lets nearly everything in. The chances of scoring past him from 30 yards are far higher than against say, Martinez.

This is the reason stats are bollocks at the moment

People are trying to tie their performance to stats when even the credible statisticians think they are an interesting tool rather than a credible source.

Like anything though there are plenty of morons who think data is everything.

Plymouth have been utterly atrocious. How can you concede within five seconds from your own throw on the half way line?!

This is the first time I have watched Plymouth all season but they look awful, that third goal is a joke. I'm guessing they look a lot better in the league!

Well on their way to back to back 5-0 drubbings at Wembley.

AC Milan have absolutely taken Napoli apart tonight, currently 4-0. Rafael Leao has been excellent.

Will be really interesting to see how Napoli respond to this, they're miles in front of everyone else but do play Milan again in 10 days in the Champions League.
