If the ball flicks off a defenders head, he's deliberately played the ball.
Whereas if a defender kicks the ball trying to clear it, he hasn't, but when his team mate then touches the ball next and tries to clear it he still hasn’t.

PGMOL stated that they called the ref to the screen to look at a subjective possible offside!!! They claim that the defender didn’t attempt a clearance it deflected off him.
I’m of the view VAR is objectively okay. However, every member of the PGMOL needs to be fired into the sun and we should hire overseas refs
VAR is a tool. It isn't intrinsically right or wrong. It's either the people who use it or its how we use it.Did you watch city bs RBL midweek? Refereeing standards haven't suddenly fallen off a cliff, VAR was introduced and rules amended to cater to it. It's the same all over Europe. VAR is the problem.
