Good call severely endangering an opponent

He was off balance but that was a completely reckless challenge, don't know what Leicester are complaining about. Fucking hate that club.

Not sure why anyone thinks that isn't a red. Yes he's off balance but that's not where his leg should be going to get his balance, stupid and dangerous foul.

seriously anyone thinks that’s not a red is basically saying you’ve got to cause serious injury to be sent off.

Saw this and knew it was Michael Oliver. Will have to go check the incident now though

Edit - thats Filth TT! What was he supposed to do?!
I just don't think VAR should be pulling things like that up. He was off balance and didn't seem to have intent- always looks worse in slow motion.

Intent? Prove intent and there’s nothing the law that states intent.
For me that’s exactly what VAR should be used for.

There's 100% intent to do him there. He looks at him and alters his stride to go over the ball and on to Fornals. If VAR aren't picking that up they shouldn't be there at all.

As a Leicester fan, I'd want that as a red if it was on one of our players.

But....
If anyone has ever been knocked off balance like Perez was, your co-ordination is terrible, and Perez probably thinks he's swinging his left foot towards the ball, rather than being so far away from it.

I don't think he has tried to 'do him', but I'd want him off.

So intent is irrelevant two factors are all that’s needed was the force used excessive? Yes, was he endangering an opponent? Yes so it’s red.

He’s tried to step over the ball to protect it. But it was a terrible decision to do that and that’s why he’s been sent off.

In fairness to my fellow Leicester fans, I think their only disappointment with the red card, is the fact it doesn't carry a 36 game ban.

After watching it again he can pull out of it but plants his foot to try and keep the ball. It’s a poor decision on his behalf.

I’m still baffled you spent ?£40m, then park him on the right. And despite him being rubbish he still plays.

Usually when there’s an iffy red card you get loads of ex pros on Twitter saying the “games gone” pretty silent from what I can see.
