Excellent from the Utd defence. Stand and admire a decent save and ignore the player strolling in to tap in

That’s a pen. You’re the wrong side and you’ve got desperate. You’ve clearly made enough contact to make yourself fall over.

Soft as shite penalty and it's 2-0. If that's a clear and obvious error then I'm the Archbishop of Canterbury.

2-1! Ronaldo pulls one back almost immediately. Shocking defending.

Looked a pen live so was a clear and obvious error. Only reason they didn’t give it tell to Nketiah in front of goal.

You can guarantee that if Nketiah doesn't score, then VAR does not interfere and give a penalty there. It only gets looked at due to him scoring and the offside check.

Well then you could argue they’d had the advantage as that’s a more presentable chance than a penalty.

You're never getting a penalty in real-time for that though, It's the VAR implementation that's the issue. If it's a clear and obvious penalty then they should be implementing it that way in every game, which we all know full well they are not doing.

I just think the right decision was made on this occasion. I don’t care about the “clear and obvious” nonsense as I don’t think anyone actually knows what that is supposed to Mean and is just a phrase that is trotted out to justify a decision (or not) one way or the other. Was it a foul - IMO yes, so then the right decision has clear and obviously been made.

If VAR could just try and make the right decision more often then great. But sadly that’s the morons in charge rather than they system

So annoying seeing Arsenal conceding plenty of chances. Just wonder where we’d be if we’d shown a little ambition rather than just defending.

Another soft penalty. The fact Hoddle doesn’t know why he’s got his arm up probably explains why he never won a header in his career!

Ha! Gotta love all this stuttering penalty bollocks when it comes unstuck.

As for the decision itself that's always gonna be given when the arms so high up in the air.

From the looks of those replays that 3rd shouldn't count. The distance from goal shouldn't discount the impact of the striker being offside in the keepers eyesight.

Yep Lucky not to walk for it, an inch higher and he'd definitely have been gone.

On the plus side he's the reason they're losing. Missed the penalty and then lost the ball on the edge of his own box.

He was right behind a United defender so had no impact on the keeper’s view.
Was he? The defender looked at least 4 yards away to me, that does make a difference as its like having a screen player on a FK to obscure the ball.
