Gündogan has been a waste of a shirt so far and the back four looks alarmingly ropey. Got to change it around after half time, it's not all over as even one away goal lets them back in but they can't play like this again.
 
Otamendi is much improved this year but he still dives in like a League Two shithouse way too often.
 
City have had absolutely no answer whatsoever so far. Liverpool just have too much so far.

Suspect Sterling will come on very soon. One goal keeps them in the tie.

Man City are way off the pace and have no answer to Liverpool's high press. It's old fashioned but man city could do with someone upfront who can hold the ball up to relieve the press

Alexander-Arnold having a great second half so far, probably the best I've ever seen him play.
 
Tactically good by Klopp, block the middle of the pitch up, force City to go wide. Nullifying De Bruyne and Silva. Let Sane And Sterling have it on the wings as City have no threat in the middle v Van Dyke etc.
 
Liverpool starting to look a bit more ragged now, must be some tired legs out there and things might start to open up for City.

Surprised Liverpool held out, expected more of a response from City second half put Liverpool looked solid for the most part.
