Indeed. Plus whether you agree with it or not, that is the rule that has been in place for at least three seasons (probably longer), everyone knows it and the referee had no choice but to order Dawson to leave the pitch. It'd be tenuous to point to one refereeing error across an entire season defining survival or relegation, this wasn't even an error.

Lovely goal from Celtic to take the lead at Aberdeen! Scott Brown rounds off a move he started with a simple finish.

He won the ball with a crunching tackle on the edge of his own box, surged forward to the half way line where he played it up to Griffiths, he came inside the defender and laid the ball out wide to the left, the winger carried it forwards, skipped past two defenders in the box and fired across the goal for Brown to tap in, great counter attack!
