Speroni's had a nightmare there.

Noticed Hennessey on the bench, has he ever started a Premier League game for them?

One right at the end of last season, he came on vs Albion this season when that horrible bastard Dawson smashed Speroni with his elbow. Think those are his only two league appearances.

He's 28 now, wasting his career.

I suppose for some players they just lose their passion for the game, must seem like the best thing that's ever going to happen when you're 15/16 signing your first pro contract but I can imagine for some that the fun is soon taken away in the professional game, not surprising really with what's at stake compared to running around the play ground with your mates as a kid. Suppose goalkeepers have got themselves an easy way to stay in the money making game without having to really care too much about the game itself, sign for a club where you know you'll never be first choice and you've got an easy ride.

lucky, lucky man u..as always...not impressed at all..regarding Hennessey i suppose he has a chance for next season, Speroni is getting really old..but then again, palace may sign a new goalie..

Pardew wants to sign Krul

Barca will be a point away from effectively securing La Liga (whenever they get round to playing the games) as it stands, Real are 2-0 down at home to Valencia after half an hour.

2-2 now in Madrid.

Don't think Newcastle are going down now. If they get anything at all at what will be an already relegated QPR then Hull need to win one of their last two games.

I honestly think Hull are more likely than Newcastle to do it. Jelavic, N'Doye, are both strikers that can reasonably be expected to pick up a goal or two. Brady was unlucky not to get two free kicks in the net today.

But Newcastle? They don't have anyone I'd call reliable in any sense. Jonas tries hard but he's essentially a rich man's Stephen Hunt. Ayoze has a bit of quality about him and Sissoko is big and strong, but none of them are reliable goalscorers. Cabella is to trickiness without threat what Sissoko is to strength without threat. And then there's Carver's insistence on starting Riviere (although with Cisse back now who knows what he'll do).

They're both fairly shit sides but I think Hull have just enough about them going forward to nick it by a point in the end.

I can't see Hull winning either of their games, I can't believe how lucky it looks like Newcastle are going to get

Hull's only real hope is that Spurs are well on truly on the beach as they don't really care either way about making the Europa League (however if Arsenal win the cup then whoever finishes 7th gets in anyway). They aren't going to beat United on the last day.

Newcastle are awful but they're only here by dint of the way Ashley runs the club. Given the points on the board at the time they were what you would consider "safe" from relegation four months ago, it's just they've lost nearly every game since then.

Hull are 2/5 to go down and Newcastle are as long as 6/1, that is a realistic assessment of their relative chances of escaping.

Plus Newcastle's last two games are against QPR and West Ham which you'd expect them to pick up at least a point. Hull will might draw both but it won't be enough.
I think Burnley will probably hover in mid table next season and QPR will have a huge fire sale due to there huge wage bill and I don't see them troubling the top of the table.

Will QPR be allowed in the league? Have to pay something like £38m?

Good didn't they owe it due to failing to adhere to financial fair play. In theory they would would have to drop to the conference.

QPR should be fined somewhere in the region of £50m when they come back down - they tried to make out their losses for last season were in the region of £9m but this was blatant bollocks and they'd tried adding written off director's loans to the profit and loss column which just doesn't work, they did lose something like £50m over the agreed threshold so that is what they should be fined. Theoretically if they don't pay it then the League could refuse to issue them with their Golden Share and effectively consign them to non-league. But I think there's very little chance of either of those scenarios actually happening, they'll come to some kind of settlement, £10m fine now and another £10m if they go up again inside three years, something like that.

I think whatever happens financially they'll have some real issues to deal with in the summer.
