Or is that be at man city next season?

City's overall management has been shocking, why have they got such an old squad despite having unlimited money?

Look at tonight's team:

Hart - 28 this month
Sagna - 32
Demichelis - 34
Kompany - 29 this month
Clichy - 30 in July
Silva - 29
Fernandinho - 30 next month
Toure - 32 next month
Navas - 29
Dzeko - 29
Aguero - 27 in June

That is bloody ancient. Far too many players losing resale value as well.

Then you look at the signings, they range from the average to the desperate over the last two years. Sagna, Demichelis, Mangala, Fernando, Fernandinho, Negredo, Navas, Caballero, Jovetic, Bony. You name me one of those who gets in any of the teams in the Champions League quarter finals, I don't think any of them do. Jovetic cost £25m and he is terrible, has always had a woeful injury record, what were they expecting? Bony the same amount of money, never a real top level forward, just doesn't have the technique or finesse, he's a very poor man's Giroud if you want a battering ram. At a time where your outgoings are limited due to Financial Fair Play why are you signing players like that?

Pellegrini will go but Soriano and Begiristain should go as well. They haven't nailed anything down, their legacy is an old squad that needs gutting.

I generally agree with that but Bony a poor man's Giroud? That's incredibly harsh.

We'll see how many goals he scores in the big games or how many he gets in the Champions League. My guess is not many. They've basically bought another Dzeko to flat track his way past the mid-table fodder and relegation strugglers.

Giroud isn't a real top level striker and Bony is several notches below him, comfortably.

Spot on. They're going to really struggle to overhaul this lot under FFP now, too. There isn't a player you'd consider a prospect in their entire first team squad.

I'd be knocking on the door if I was Silva or Aguero over the summer. Then they'd really be in trouble.

Yet another manager insisting on playing Bacuna at right back. Maddening stuff.

Hutton is injured I think? So it's him or Lowton who hasn't had a good game in two years.

Bacuna is tripe anyway.

As I've said before, never in his life is he a defender.

As I've said before, never in his life is he a defender.

He isn't much of anything. Not enough in his locker to be a winger, too weak and insipid to play in central midfield. He can take a set piece but he is a rubbish footballer, more Lambert muck.

I am watching Bristol City and Swindon Town. No love lost in this game, City 1 up, but Swindon have been the better team.

BBC comment re the Blackpool game:

Blackpool supporters threw fireworks and eggs in a protest against the club's owners before their Championship match at home to Reading.

The Seasiders' relegation had been confirmed a day earlier.

Chairman Karl Oyston, son of owner Owen, was the focus of a group who chanted "Oyston out" and "we're relegated because of your greed" outside Bloomfield Road.

A flare and a smoke bomb were also hurled towards the main reception area.

The Oysten's deserve all they get - feel for the fans of that club

How is Sammy doing for Swindon?

Not bad. Swindon playing with three at the back so Ricketts is on the left hand side of a midfield five. He has got forward a lot, and seen a fair bit of the ball, But Bristol City have a fast lad against him, and Sam is not the quickest.
