I think that's harsh I thought he did lots of good things but his distribution was a little rushed, eager to impress I think. Lots of raw talent and ability, currently has the wrong manager to enhance that ability IMO.

Was getting angrier than usual at Tyldesley last night - what a patronising globule of fanny batter that man is.

Normally when you watch live sports coverage, the commentator/anchor/etc knows about his chosen field. And chooses to educate the viewer with expert opinion. All that utter arsehole managed to do last night was piss me off by implying I didn't know many of the member of the 'makeshift' Italian team - but stopped short of actually telling me anything about them. Because obviously I need to know more about Harry Kane.

And why can't he or his tiny brained colleague just stop waffling for a few seconds? Why the constant need to talk absolute bollocks that offers zero expert analysis whatsoever, occasionally interspersed with turgid attempts at humour?

On the plus side, the difference Mark Pougatch makes is remarkable. Although I tried to ignore Godlike Glenn, it is miles better to have an actual presenter presenting the coverage. A vast improvement there.

Really, I thought the comment was fair. OK he broke out of his own half a few times with the ball at his feet but at no time did he look to combine with others while making those runs. Generally his decision making is hopeless and doesn't look to have improved at all post World Cup squad selection.
He looks like a player who is full of ability, unfortunately in a team game he has to find ways of using that talent to benefit the team rather than look a show pony. The kind of player you would always ring to play in a testimonial.

Agree with this. I'm a big fan of Barkley - just needs to be consistently playing. His injury at the start of the season didn't help him at all. Martinez developed him well last season and as the team has suffered so has he this year.
