Lettuce Liz then Tetchy Rish! and the battle to replace him

Interesting to note that according to the right wing press and several conservative loudmouths the post office scandal is entirely the “scandalous” fault of Sir Ed Davey as he held a ministerial position in the Conservative led coalition at that time.

Desperate.

True but do they really think nobody will notice who was actually running government at that time?

He appears to be sat in the foreign office. Why aren’t the Mail demanding his resignation too?

I'm all for that Lib Dem intake getting a huge level of shoe. Quisling cunts.
...as long as its not at the expense of damaging their chances at the next general election in the blue wall against incumbent Conservative MPs.

I'm never putting any faith in the Lib Dems succeeding.

Look at their post-Ashdown record:

- Propping up Charlie Kennedy as leader when he was evidently a very ill man, no matter what his qualities were (and he had plenty), he was not in a state to do the job
- Appointing 114 year old Menzies Campbell
- Clegg jumping into bed with D-Cam, enabling toxic austerity then losing his own seat to a cokehead fraud
- JO SWINSON'S LIBERAL DEMOCRATS

They're a permanent clown car.

Farage is blaming SKS because he was Director of Public Prosecutions...

He ran a department that put together an extremely well run prosecution based on the evidence presented to them by the investigating authorities.

The fact the evidence turned out to be shite is a fault in the investigation not in the courtroom.

Windbag Farage needs to turn his attentions elsewhere.

Non of the 3 parties come out of this well. Started under Labour and still going on.
The Tories can pretend to be concerned and push through things to get people their money back and criminal records wiped but they are the party that gave one of the top people in this scandal a CBE (or whatever) despite knowing the facts then.
It was one of their own MP's that highlighted the injustice so not like it was a mystery to them,

If they even try and stand there and claim any moral victory when its all sorted they can get to fuck. They played a part in ruining peoples lives and in some cases, ending peoples lives.

On IT, the Post Office had operational autonomy. It was entirely within Whitehall conventions that officials usually took the Post Office’s assurances about Horizon at face value.

How do they even get these honours? You ran the Post Office for a bit?

Services to the Post Office...Which in her case was "getting the Post Office lots of free money and ruining the lives of thousands of plebs" Perfect Tory material

Right wingers absolutely smashing the amendments in for the Rwanda bill, including disapplying the human rights act.

Jennerick:

“This is the third piece of legislation in three years, it’s three strikes or you’re out, we’ve got to get this right. [The] government’s reported legal advice is that the bill has a 50% chance at best of getting a single flight off to Rwanda before the general election. When the stakes are so high for the country I don’t think that’s acceptable. We need to make sure it’s much more rigorous than that.”

Braverman:

“To not adopt these amendments, and introduce another failing Bill, will be a betrayal of the British people.”

“As drafted, this bill will not stop the boats. The government’s own lawyers have also reportedly advised that the scheme, as currently laid out, is fundamentally flawed. They rightly conclude that it will be bogged down with individual legal challenges from migrants.”

Poor Rishi.

Rwanda have said they aren’t interested if the scheme completely bins international law so this all seems rather a dilemma

What does this mean. Rishi has had enough and calling an election?

The time offered has varied between two and 16 months. Gordon Brown authorised contact between the Conservative Party and the civil service a full 15 months in advance of the 2010 election. In 2017, the talks were initiated on the day Theresa May announced the election, giving the Labour Party 51 days in which to speak with the civil service.
