Leicester (H): We always win 4-3 verdict thread

so much better with a fully fit Jota in the team. he does what Costa should be doing and driving at defenders with pace, making them commit fouls.
look at last season to see how many goals we scored with free kicks just outside the box. can only think of the one against Everton so far this year (though i may be wrong). we certainly have had many so far.

He's tenacious, he never stops snapping at players heels, he harries players and forces them into Milner style mistakes. and seems to have built up a real strikers pairing understanding with Jiminez. The pair of them seem to want to go for the jugular every time they get the ball which gives us far more speed of attack and urgency. Opposition sides are genuinely scared of them.

Realy can't speak highly enough of the pair of them

I like MGW a lot, but he has been poor for the past few appearances. He doesn't deserve to start for the time being, that will change in the future

MGW's has got a lot of work to do on his tenacity if he wants to replace Moutinho

Yeah has been quite alarming how bad his touch and passing have been against City and Leicester. All ability seems to have deserted him. He’s only young so inconsistency is expected and he is probably trying too hard. Needs to just calm down a bit. I think 90 mins will do him good against Shrews.

Dendoncker needs another 90 mins in CM as well because he was blowing yesterday but we couldn’t afford to take him off given his size.

" Ecstatic Wolves manager Nuno Espírito Santo runs on to the pitch and celebrates with the players after Diogo Jota scored their fourth goal and his hat-trick. Jota is the second Portuguese player to score a Premier League hat-trick after Cristiano Ronaldo. "

seems odd. he's the only portugeuse player other than cr7??

Can't think of that many other decent Portuguese attackers to be a success in the PL.

Most Portuguese forwards were mince in the 90s and 2000s. I'd guess Luis Boa Morte is behind Cron in the overall PL goals stakes.

We didn't really have too may none British players in the league until about 20 years ago and none of their (not so) Golden Generation played over here

Interesting to see Vinagre on right sided corners yesterday. They weren't any good, but seems like Nuno recognises we miss a good left foot since Baz left.

Bargain of the century.

We all knew he was a class act but whats surprised me is how he manages to keep up his intensity and workrate for so long, especially as he has played so many minutes this season.....top class pro

Tend to agree about Donk needing another game, or at least a good 60 minutes. Looks like one of those players who needs a lot of games to get really fit whereas you suspect Jota comes in at the start of the season, touches his toes and is ready to go.
Seen it somewhere on Twitter that Jota was highest rated player of the weekend in the Premier League

Twenty four hours on and still buzzing but trying to keep feet on the ground

Jota is finding his feet still in this division as are most players, but looks likely to score every time he gets the ball and his partnership with Jimenez is blossoming into one of those that most teams would drool over. There's an anticipation every time that these two get on the ball, so priority for me is get Raul signed up PDQ. Although we have options with Costa, Troara and Cav these two are our main men upfront and we are a lesser threat when they're not on the pitch.

Defensively, we missed Boly, Saiss did fine and is uncomplicated, but although coming from an earlier mistake the first goal came down to clear lack of understanding the art of central defending...don't fickin dive in!!!. Boly would have coped better in that situation, and although we will never know may have stopped that and the impetus it gave Leicester, as they had nothing to lose.

The biggest respect I can pay, and secretly my MOM, was Dendonckers performance. Having waited for his chance with absolute professionalism, he was immense (irrespective of how he runs). Clearly, more than capable of holding his own in this league, his work off the ball was as impressive than the work on it, he gave us more balance with Ruben and Moutinho. He needs and deserves a run in the team and perhaps MGW needs to watch and learn.

23 games in and still new to the Prem we are still a work in progress, ups and downs still lie ahead, but to be 8th at this stage of the season is more than we could have hoped for.

Just love this team. Come on me babiz

You'll get yerself into trouble with this kind of common sense talk.

Most games he would win MOTM with how he played yesterday, but you won't beat a Prem League Hat-Trick and immense workrate.
