Saving him for pre season proper. There is no excuse to not play Tolu after that pathetic front line in the last match.
I wasnt backing the idea BTW...just saying that's what it looks like and can understand if he is doing that but the reasons for it kind of collapse after the West Ham game. There’s a really bizarre narrative that rather than make structural / systemic changes we should stick with what we’ve done so that we don’t get embarrassed and maximise points. See above on this thread, and the Wolves Fancast. Despite us getting embarrassed with this exact system in just the last game. Laughable.
LolzWatch Bentley play a blinder

Watch Bentley play a blinder to the point he’ll be like a new signing next season.
And that's the best counter to the points Punts has been raising. The squad is shite, it would go down whoever was in charge. I also think Tolu is shite, but last week you could see that front 3 wasn't going to work within the first 5 minutes. He spent too long before changing it and starting with it again this week is bizarre. The only way he gets a pass for it is if Angel has said he's staying and he's trying to embed that 3 for next season, but that seems unlikelyThere is no excuse to not play Tolu after that pathetic front line in the last match.
He’s capable of great saves but that is more than balanced by the rest of his game so while possible it’s very unlikely so I’m out!Happy to have a fiver that doesn’t happen.
I agree there is some argument he could come in (Tolu). Although I think he’s just added to the long list of players who get better when they’re not in the team. Tolu, Mane and Rodrigo were all horrific when they came on last week so there’s and argument they played their way out the lineup too.And that's the best counter to the points Punts has been raising. We have zero hope of holding the ball up or having any physical presence with the front three he’s picking. As TT said above, it was obvious after 5 minutes last week. It’s absolutely mental that he’s picked it again.I agree there is some argument he could come in (Tolu). As I said I don't rate him, but we've got to have someone to try and hold the ball up for others to play off and he's all we have. We were 3-0 down when he came on last week, so although I think your comment is fair where Rodrigo and Mane are concerned I don't think it is for him.I agree there is some argument he could come in (Tolu). I don’t think we *have* to play that way at all. We’ve been “successful” playing it into the 10s feet. We weren’t particularly successful hammering it into Tolu to bounce off at right angles. Pick your poison, it’s all shit.As I said I don't rate him, but we've got to have someone to try and hold the ball up for others to play off and he's all we have.
