Leeds (A) 18/04: Build-Up & Match Thread

Early on at West Ham I felt they allowed us to play due to low confidence/must not lose. So we huffed and puffed without actually achieving a fat lot. Once West Ham had their epiphany "hang on, we're shit but these are shit" we fell apart.

That’s a lack of leadership.

If the manager’s brief was ‘just stop us being utterly shit’ he’d have failed it. And that’s an unacceptable objective in the first place. Staggering he has been defended. We’ve been garbage since he started, sometimes even worse than under VP, and no genuine progression, just some luck that you’d get in that number of games. Get rid.

We won’t of course. This is managed decline. Literally.
Absolutely.

I'll go to my grave thinking this squad shouldn't be near this poor (as ever, knowing I'm in a minority), but 3 years of misery with no end in sight takes a heavy, heavy toll.

None of them would make Nuno's promotion winning side obviously. How many would make Micks?

Team that clinched promotion v QPR 2009:

Hennessey, Foley, Craddock, Berra, Stephen Ward (Stearman 79), Edwards, Henry, Jones (Vokes 65), Jarvis, Ebanks-Blake (Harewood 60), Keogh.

Gomes.
Bueno for Ward??
Armstrong for Keogh?

He’s not going anywhere. It’s why I’m trying not to be too worked up about him. He won’t last long at the start of next season though
The optimist in me thinks he's cooked. Predicated on Fosun being embarrassed by how this has made them look, I doubt we'll install Nathan Shi permanently, and whoever does get put in:
1) Will want to "put his stamp" on the club quickly
2) Will see nothing enticing in Rob's time here this season
3) Will almost certainly be expected to oversee immediate promotion

Not the outcome I expect but one that is reasonably plausible all the same.

Didnt Nathan's role change recently?

Either way I think he's our man now in Fosun's eyes.

This lot deserve their place in history as the worst ever wolves side PPG wise. Whilst being paid the best also
