I know I shouldn't be, but I'm honestly surprised that KJ still has the job.

Jackett wont get us relegated.

I thought the same about Saunders but I agree.

More likely to be a complete season of hovering in the bottom half & finishing 15th - he's operating well enough to get us to that but very little more & unless Morgan does get a sale completed then don't expect much else to happen quickly

Most of us thought (hoped?) that about Saunders, but we're pretty unanimous in our belief that Jackett is a far, far better manager than he.

This season is a complete write off, but I'm prepared to give him a third season at this level like we did McCarthy.

Yes, I know there's not a great deal of logic in that sentence I've just wrote.

Another few names to consider:

Carlo Robinson?
Neil Lennon?
Keith Downing?
Temuri Ketsbaia?
Kevin Muscat?

I think we could well be discussing this very soon if we don't get anything at Hillsborough and definitely pick up at win against Reading. Kenny will have to go if those things happen.

Reading at home is the most nailed on 1-1 draw since Hoddle managed us.

I think Reading will be a much harder proposition after reemploying McDermott this week.

I thought Saunders would relegate us within a fortnight of his absolute on and off field nonsense.

Maybe, no, maybe, no and no in that order.

I think if we can get safe and blood the young talent it's progression of sorts. This season will be of massive value to players like EEL, Hause and Iorfa. The recent contract extensions flabbergasted me (although I thought Dave was worthy - sorry guys). It seems they have to justify this by building the team around them. That has failed. Baath and Stearman should both have gone at the end of last season. Jackett, Mox and Thelwall as a trio are showing no acumen at building a good football team. For me their replacement is inevitable.

Just watched Rowett being interviewed after the Blues game. Articulate, funny, understands his players' limitations, no bullshit. Absolute no 1 choice for me

He chose not to go to QPR, I really couldn't see him coming to us in our current state

Despite disagreeing regularly with Jackett's tactics and selections, I think the Leeds game provided the most baffling moment.

Taking Price of for Coady was okay, but to play him at Centre Half and then sticking Batth up front when a player who's Premier League contract we're paying was on the bench us incredible.

What are we paying Holt £15k* a week for if we prefer a slow CH up front, instead of him, when chasing a game?

Holt may be slow and fat, but he was slow and fat when we decided to take on his contract. Batth has never looked a goal threat any time he's gone forward - yet Ken prefers him to Holt...

* approx.

I'll be honest, I'd rather have Danny Batth up front in those circumstances. Grant Holt is appalling. No point hoofing the ball to him because he can't jump higher than six inches than his standing height. It was a terrible signing but I'd rather he remain a terrible signing who never plays than one we actually use.

Maybe we can stick Holt at CB and hope is fat ass blocks a shot or two.

I should add that is no endorsement of mine of sticking a centre half up top and lumping the ball in his vague direction. It hardly ever works, it's lowest common denominator cack. I just want Holt's loan to expire without him ever getting on the pitch again, then we can quietly forget it ever happened, like we push signing Marcus Bent and Eggert Jonsson in the Premier League to the back of our minds.

I find the inertia at Wolves so frustrating. Jackett should surely be on his way, by now. But who will replace him? Rowett - why would he leave The Blues and would we pay the compensation? Monk? Oh, dear! Who else? We missed our chances to 'have a go' with Smith or Hasselbaink. There are a lot of mitigating factors, I know, but we'll be in serious trouble if this continues and then how much will Morgan be able to demand for his hapless club.? I hate to see history repeating itself, but it is, isn't it? Stick with a manager who has clearly reached his 'ceiling', leave it too late to salvage something from the season, then replace him with a cheap, unproven manager who will dish out more of the same.
