Keir Starmer at it again..

So you won't vote for Lib Dems *or* Labour? You're as well staying at home if you don't want to even hint at influencing the seat
Not sure mate, I voted Green in South Staffs for 10 years and they had a 0% chance of winning. But gradually they evolved over my time there from being perennial no hopers to actually having council seats and making a difference.

You can always do something, unless the ballot is literally Tory or whatever Farage is calling his latest rabble.

Oh I absolutely agree you need a balance of parties, but Im afraid Starmers Labour Party is as centre left as we're likely to get, otherwise they just won't get elected, never mind get a majority which is already looking doubtful.

They're not centre left at all though. At the moment.

It's not looking doubtful at all, they are absolutely miles clear.

If you're extrapolating from this month's locals then Scotland, Wales, London and a few other major cities didn't have elections, none of them will be Tory whenever the next GE is, nor will we have 70+ Independent MPs.

If my seat was still a safe Labour seat then I’d vote Green. As the Tories won it for the first time in years last time around then I’ll vote Labour.

I just hope as many people as possible vote for whoever is likely to beat the Tories, even if it involves holding their nose.

I'm not that confident they will get a majority tbh, plenty of time for the right wing media to affect voting. Hope I'm wrong.

You don't think so and neither do I but the Great British voting public, especially floating voters do think they're left of centre. Sometimes you just have to be pragmatic.

It's not going to happen, there's no road left to go, which is why they're descending into desperate culture war nonsense. They can't even coalesce around the leader because it's Will from the Inbetweeners.

Anyway your thoughts are entirely up to you on what will happen but in no way do current polling or voting trends indicate that a Labour majority is doubtful.

I mean they were centre right under Ed. Do you believe Starmer has taken them further left?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The website is funded by left wingers.

Having said that I sit in the upper middle of the bottom left box (-6.38; -3.9) which I really didn't think I would do. 🤷

All the main parties in the UK are right of centre economically, even Labour under Corbyn were only proposing economic policies that would largely maintain the status quo albeit with some concessions to public ownership. The Tories are quite far to the right when it comes to social policy at the moment believing/saying this is the priority of the public and tbf there is a large chunk of the electorate who will lap that up.

For me, Labour are left of centre socially but not economically although the further right the Tories go, the higher the risk Labour will drift that way to counter them.

2019 rang and asked if you would like to hear the results...
Snap.

1900 rang and said can you remember why we were founded as an alliance of social democrats, democtratic socialists and trade unionists? My answer - "of course I do'.

I get that you don't agree with the principles of the Labour Party. It is what it is. Not some diluted centrist Tory alternative. Keep on sniping away, it's so predictable.

Question for you;

Have you ever been or considered being a member of the Labour Party?

I have not considered being a member of any political party.

I've never felt enough affinity to any of them.
