Keir Starmer at it again..

It's stupid to delete it if you're going to bother posting it in the first place. "Flying business class for business" isn't a scandal. Just say "so what, get over it you freaks" (because we know who's wailing about it) and move on.

It’s obviously worse than using a private helicopter for a trip that would be £30 on the train, or using RAF jets for a jolly, because labour

Or spaffing £900k on a makeover for a government plane so you can feel like you’re the President?

They can all be wrong.
Yep,

If your attack line is "you're too posh/rich to understand the poor people" don't whack up pictures of you in a class the poor can't afford.

Everyone will know how you got to the USA and no one will presume you went cattle class but essentially show off about it and your attack line is somewhat weakened.

There's literally paying for a business class ticket (I wouldn't pay it, whether I do or don't have the money) and there's hiring a £10k/ph jet at public expense. Are these on the same page, let me think.

Fuck the Corbynite cranks trying to ramp up every anti-Labour story because they didn't get what they wanted.

I'm not comfortable with it, but just to play devil's advocate...if it's commonly accepted that Labour is now a centrist party, is it *that* unreasonable for them to want to select people that represent them and their politics, and will use the (potentially increasing) mayoral powers in a way that reflects how Labour want regions to be run?

Like obviously, it's antidemocratic. But is a case of 'look, we're centrist, and so we're selecting centrists' unacceptable? If he's that good a mayor, then he'll win as an independent, without needing the votes and support from a party that he's no longer aligned with

It's factionalism. Not the first strike for Starmer either. It's all the things the Blairites accused Corbyn of except it never happened. Starmer talked about more internal democracy during the leadership election but abandoned it (like a number of pledges) once elected. At least under Corbyn people were winning positions based on getting the most votes as opposed to being selected.
