Keir Starmer at it again..

I don't recall any particular enthusiasm for Starmer on here.

I do think people easily forget how bad Cameron, May, Johnson, Truss and Sunak were.
You are far too polite about that collection of useless misfits. ;-) Quite a rabble and that's without looking at the pitiful characters they empowered as ministers, etc.

I don't think anyone forgets that. It's a sad indictment that the gap between Starmer and those absolutely vile humans is not all that great. It isn't. I didn't have high expectations of him. He's managed to duck under a very, very low bar.

Whatever you may think about policy decisions they operate in a professional manner and don't seek to throw culture wars out every other day. That in itself is a huge difference
Agreed. They've also agreed pay rises for a lot of public sector workers. The previous government weren't going to end those strikes anytime soon.

I’m still hoping for a turn to the left, should conditions allow. No feck that. If you’re going to be kicked out after 5 years you may as well do that by sticking the beliefs of your party and it’s supporters.
Some of their decision making has been awful and being more competent than the previous administrations isn’t something to be celebrating considering the awfulness of them. The only hope seems to be some sort of economic boom to allow for investment in infrastructure and public services but it appears that’s not happening any time soon.
They’d been left with a terrible mess but I don’t see any bold action to even try to make a difference.

They're winning no friends at all.

Tories think they're too left, and "proper" lefties think they're far too right.

It's not about winning friends, they've got the guts of 5 years. Their only chance is for them to make the average swing voters feel like their life is getting better. They need to ignore the outside noise and stick to their plans. It'll either work or it won't.
Personally I'm a bit pissed off with them but it's early days and when I'm really irritated I have to remind myself what went before.
If they don't get their shit together over the next coupe of years, the outlook politically is bleak.

No, actually i dont think it is.

Bear with me as to why.

I think we can both agree that the current administration is missing targets pretty much everywhere.

i think we can also both agree that if Bad Enoch and Satans Hamster were in charge it would be a billion times worse.

Im exactly as good or bad as everyone judges my posts. love and bubbles xxx

Seems totally redundant.

What is the point you are making?

The point is it would be worse under those cunts, not that it is good now, and everyone's opinion is allowed on both points.

So want the current administration out, your choices are badenoch or farage.

go starmer

clear enough?

Riiiight.

So it's still a totally pointless point.

Unless you're suggesting that Labour shouldn't be criticised because they're better than the alternative?
