If the ban isn't upheld or reduced to a suspension, then there's no point to having either the forum rules or the amendment to them:

Where is the accountability for ones actions? Everyone has agreed to those in order to post here.

The fact is, the staff will have seen the most recent incident, discussed it in depth, and added it to the plethora of other such incidents over the years - the staff have already explained that this ban has been a long time coming. What evidence is there that he will change his ways? How is a reprieve not kicking the can further down the road to a time when he will be banned again?

On Invision fora we have a warning point system available, as well as mod preview tools for troublesome members. Out of interest, does XenForo have those or similar?

I’d just like to put it on record that I deeply regret buying @Deutsch Wolf a Carling. As a craft beer wanker, I’ve no idea what came over me.

I shall also apologise and buy you another (much better) beer in person as soon as Jeff Shi FUCKS OFF and we both step back inside Molineux.

Once again, my apologies xx

Of course accountability and the forum rules are important, but how does Johnny's murky ban square with the amended rules? I've asked several times with no answer from the mod team if he's had 10 bans or more since the amendment, met with radio silence. Because of course he hasn't.

Multiple times sent off away by the Mods will start to add up the days away. 1st and 2nd time will be just the 1 day. 3rd time it will jump to 3 days, 4th time - 4 days etc .
Hit an 7th time and look forward to a month off. If you hit double figures, then it will be discussed whether you actually want to be on here.

Is that what happened?

I mean, the original forum Old Testament rules state 'We may terminate your access to all or any part of the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice' so on that basis we're all potentially fucked if the powers that be are so inclined!

At the end of the day I don't want to be a mod and I doubt you do. You can be banned for an unacceptable breach, the weirdo caravan man was for instance this time last year or thereabouts.

Now I don't think Johnny should have been banned, I don't agree with the language he used, but the sentiment of having a go at some dick that only came on to post superfan bollocks I can definitely get on board with. I think that the peacocking of a few that he has been is cringeworthy, but throwing COC's written in good faith back at the mods is unfair.

That wasn't my intention; it was a reply to Jolemai (and others) linking and referencing this rule and that rule, they don't seem to square with what's actually happened in the past 24 hrs so I'm just looking for clarity as to where we stand regarding ban criteria? Nothing wrong with transparency on this

Are you wondering how far you can push it PK?

J75 pushed it for years, literally years, he was told numerous times he needed to change, he didn't.

Saying "he's a nice bloke in real life" isn't really a fair point, as this is an Internet forum, how differently someone acts in real life is irrelevant, and actually quite telling if they are vastly different!

(As I've said, my own IRL experience was similar to on here)

Without wanting to be dramatic, or to put this evil on him now (it's been years, I think we are/were in a better place with each other), there were certainly times his behavior toward me nearly put me off the forum and club altogether. There were a couple of points that I could have flown over and chose not to over the anxiety that he'd be with the group that I'd otherwise want to be spending the time with.

I don't think he realizes quite the impact his words have, particularly when his claws are so sharp.

Why not call it out at the time then? It’s an internet forum with a bunch of randoms.

Edit - or at least leave an emoji to show your erudition

That's really sad 😕

The fact this thread exists highlights the problem with TWF and Johnny. He's friends with some of the admins and regular posters on here and got away with a lot more than the average poster would over the years.
Forum rules were definitely not applied consistently in his case and that appears to be the case again here with reversing the ban.

Personally, I don't think he cares.
Speaking for him now?

Personally, I don't think you should be commenting stuff like this when the person has no right of reply.

It's weird as well that you feel the need to reply to vast amounts of comments in here, as if you were responsible for the decision and you're justifying it.

I'm speaking for myself, and my experience of him.

How many times has he been told to put me on ignore or to stop sniping at me or others? Or to change the way he posts? Did he? No.

The fact he isn't able to come back and attack is exactly why people feel much more comfortable explaining how he has made them feel in the past.

No ban has been reversed.

Were you not part of the process and had a say? He's banned, by the very definition he has no right of reply. Only one person to blame for that. ..unless there is something else about the process you would like to tell us?

Weird comment, particularly as you know I had nothing to do with the "decision", I'm not a mod and I had him on ignore.
