Jeremy Corbyn

Yes no problem, but yet again we see different rules for different people.

Different rules for different people would not be my intention at all. I wouldn't expect anyone to use sexist terminology on here, no matter the poster or the person to whom they are referring.

I most certainly would not. Despite what Leedswolf thinks I have no problem with people of another colour, creed, religion or culture.
Ok. I will bite against my better judgement, but in response to your goading on this and other threads, I never stated that. I stated that I cannot stand bigotry. BTW are you still sharing Britain First on your FB?

Phil, I did not mean to do so. That was my mistake, and one that I bitterly regret. It was naivety, not bigotry.

The secret NEC vote went 18-14 in the Labour leader's favour following about seven hours of talks.

Also the Labour Party NEC have made changes to the qualification to vote in this leadership ballot.

Members have to have been members since 12th January. Anyone who joined after then will have to pay an extra £25 to become a "registered supporter" - and will get a two-day window in which to do so.

Members who have joined since January this year can't vote in the leadership election. £3 members will now have to cough up £25 to vote.

Edit. I think you are right Dino. My post above was based on what the BBC political editor just stated on the news. Written media calls it how you do.

Sensible rule though, think the Tories have something similar

Things will become clearer over the next few days, and I'm sure Corbyn and his supporters will challenge the changes made at the next NEC meeting.

It could be a rule to favour one politician. Surely you shouldn't make a rule that is seen as beneficial to a particular person.
The Conservative party, have had those rules in place. So it isn't really the same. It seems a little unfair to me, even though I want Corbyn to win.

"Good Lord.

Very pretty and excellent bangers"

Spose that's alright then?

People joining the labour party to just support one person are not party supporters imo, if you're going to join you join for a moral reason, not because a certain person is flavour of the month.

Angela Eagles has just said on Newsnight that she feels it's time the Labour party had a woman as its leader.

She also said she would like to encourage people to pay their £25 on 18/19th July to support her leadership campaign.

It's a battle for the soul of the Labour party.

The Blairites say; 'we've got our souls',
Corbyn counters; 'we've got our souls'.

Personally I think they're all our souls.
