Jeremy Corbyn

Just hearing on 5live that people are becoming apoplectic because he didn't join in with a hearty rendition of the national anthem at the Battle of Britain commemoration display.
When questioned he said he was just taking a minute to reflect on the suffering the people of Great Britain had to endure, sounds good to me.

I'm finding all this opposing the govt stuff very odd. Going to take a lot of getting used to.

I have never and never will sing the National Anthem because of the words involved.....But it's exactly the reason he won't ever be PM

Frank it has already been said that he will wear a red poppy and observe the decorum of the day like any other leader ever has done and would do. If you cannot see the difference between honouring our war dead and not singing the National Anthem it is you with the issue not Corbyn

Singing about a preposterously wealthy privileged person to honour people who sacrificed everything is just bizarre

I have to say I have no problem with what he has done today. Taking a moment to reflect is actually rather more dignified than trying to re-enact last night of the proms.

I look forward with great interest to policy proposals coming from the Corbyn cabinet. At least then the debate is about policy rather than trying to caricature the man.

Without doubt I have little affinity politically with Corbyn, but he does at least appear to have principles that are long standing, do not change to meet the 'spin doctors' view of what the electorate 'want to hear' or surround himself with 'special advisors'.

As Paddy says the debate is more likely to move to policy rather than anything else - the Tories may find they are given a more searching questioning than if one of the others had won.

I reckon he is a cast iron certainty to do that.

Just for the political bantz.

Honestly, you may disagree with the man politically. Heaven knows as a Conservative voter I do, but surely this attack with comments as nonsensical as that, and then the appalling two front pages from the Sun since the man was elected, is not attacking any policy, it is attacking the individual. I really disagree with that. Negative politics at work, and I would hope that people could move beyond such crass stuff.

Maybe someone should tell D-Cam?

David Cameron ‏@David_Cameron Sep 13The Labour Party is now a threat to our national security, our economic security and your family's security.

But you did not vote Conservative at the last election. Well at least you said you wouldn't.

Yes I did actually. I was pissed off with all parties and was going to spoil the paper, but I decided to stay with the Conservatives in the end. As you would see on the election thread as I remember.
