Jeremy Corbyn

Nor has he read my post properly. Shocking I know.

It has contributed to that huge potato slice on your shoulder though.

Look. I left university in 1993. And we had student loans then. We aren't talking about whole families SUDDENLY having to find money here. This has been going on for thirty years nearly although the loans are now bigger because of fees.

we all agreed we found it quite offensive that people thoughts young voters had turned out because of the scrapping of fees that Corbyn and Labour had proposed.

Actually, it's not even near our list of priorities at he moment.

Sorry, but you are speaking about young voters there. You are saying that young voters didn't register because of tuition fees, but because of social conscious. A record number of young voters registered in the last 2 days before the voting register closed. I don't believe that is because of anything else for the vast majority of those new voters, other than not to have to pay tuition fees. Surely otherwise they would have registered before.

I think that Penks post was about the shadow chancellors comments. And all those students who came out and voted Corbyn on the back of his claiming he would wipe out student debt would be left very disappointed.

But that is all supposition AGAIN.

You have no fucking idea WHY. But you keep pushing your agenda on it.

He never said that.

No, I wasn't. I was talking about myself and my friends. What is so difficult to understand?

And why is it acceptable for you to make generalisations about how young people voted but if I did that would be unacceptable? That is hypocritical to say the least.

Students leaving something to the last minute? Well I never :icon_lol: Why does the record number of young voters registering in the last two days mean it was because of tuitions fees? And to say that it is because of one sole reason is pretty offensive and unfair IMO, as people from different backgrounds, with different issues will have many different reasons to vote in a certain way. And what about the young people who AREN'T students? Did they vote for tuition fees to be abolished too?

Read what he said and don't bother trying to bully me. He said the young, he didn't say the people he knew. I said I agreed he and his friend might not have voted about tuition fees, but a record number of new voters on the last days of registration, would have had more to do with tuition fees than a new found social conscious. Even he says most people think that tuition fees is what most people got the new young voters to come out and vote.

Did you generalise about the young?

I am not bullying you, for the second time.

I am pointing out that what you are posting is ill-informed supposition, and frankly nonsense.

The Labour party said it would abolish fees from 2018 and write off the first year of fees for those planning to start university this September. Those part way through their degree would pay no further fees for the remainder of the course.

They never promised that current students would have their debt written off at all. Corbyn had said before he would 'try'. It's future students that they want to provide free education to first and foremost..

Me and a couple of friends were discussing tuition fees the other day and we all agreed we found it quite offensive that people thoughts young voters had turned out because of the scrapping of fees that Corbyn and Labour had proposed.

Actually, it's not even near our list of priorities at he moment. In fact, the loan is set up in such a way (as discussed on here before) in that it works mostly very well. Would I prefer to not have the debt, probably, but I'm more concerned about the amount of people using food banks, and not being paid what they deserve because of 'tough decisions' that Theresa May says they have to make. Funny how those tough decisions never make the rich worse off.

THM, there is my original post on the matter. Please find where I said what you are claiming I said and where I have generalised about young voters.

The only person who is generalising about young voters is you. Stop being a hypocrite. Why are you unable to answer any of my questions when I have taken the time to answer yours?

And nice to see Frank is up to his old tricks too.

I have posted the part where you claim to talk for young voters, 3 times now.

Well that is hardly WIPING OUT STUDENT DEBT is it?
