January 2021 Transfer Window

Cutrone and Morgan Gibbs-White it will be then! Not the rebalancing I certainly had hoped for if it happens.

Quite surprised we haven't announced the return of Cutrone already.

Unless they want to troll I think that announcement only comes anout when one of the following happens
A) his loan out again comes at the same time
B) we've signed another forward
C) They know B isn't happening

I'd get him back asap - event if its just to sit on our bench.

With no fans in the ground it's difficult to test the optics from social media, but I sense this wouldn't play well and they know it. My view is Nuno won't want him unless all other avenues have been exhausted first

We couldn't shift him on if he was to make an appearance if we adopted that approach with him.

Presume though the minute he is registered as part of our squad that ends him moving to a 3rd team? Or does that only apply if you appear on the pitch for 2 teams in 1 season

Is a player who we don't want, who doesn't want to play for us, and who made absolutely no impact when he did play for us really a better prospect for us than our promising new youngster?

Sure, Silva's not the answer right now, but Cutrone isn't either.

Fabio's biggest problem is we're not playing to his strengths. He isn't Raul Jimenez: you can't boot the ball up to him and expect him to hold it, turn and run or even flick it on. I've been most impressed with Silva when he has held the ball up and pinged it off to Neto/Podence/Adama who come to him to receive it. His link-up play is actually really good.

Last striker not called Raul to score a goal from us in open play I think?

Well, yeah- isn't Silva also the only striker not named Raul to play for us since Cutrone, though? Not like we've had some conga-line of strikers since Cutrone left.

Cutrone last scored in the same month that Traore last scored

That was well worth looking up 😂😂

Anyone suggesting Ozil needs to consider one of the key reasons he doesn't get played for Arsenal is (arguably) his criticism of China / the CCP

I see the "where's the money gone/lack of ambition/Fosun are crooks" tweets are starting to stream through (slight paraphrasing but close enough)

People genuinely seem to have no clue we're under UEFA sanctions and will be for a while yet.

For UEFA regs to be relevant we’d have to to qualify for a UEFA competition. That is very unlikely to happen. With our net spend in the summer, Covid allowances we are well within that limit.

More PL regs we have to watch. Should start getting eaiser to flex the £ muscle after this season as we will no longer be using Championship accounts/spending

I think you've hit on his strengths right now and he's probably best played as a deeper forward than a front line CF, which I would say Cutrone is.

I thought these were relaxed for this season?
