This suggests WHam are going to ask for Gedson on "an 18-month loan with an option to buy"

Perhaps I am being daft but why on earth would Benfica ever agree to that, assuming the reported interest from elsewhere (including us) is in any way real?

They also have players in house ready to step up to be fair (Daka for one) so I wouldn’t rule it out totally but i think it was John Percy who said we might sign him and allow him to stay there on loan for the rest of the season? We should be pushing to get him now regardless IMO

You'd hope so, with Jota out at the moment we literally have no other viable options or cover for the starting front 3 of Neto Raul and Adama which is crazy.

Kind of makes sense to bring two players back if you've lost two, doesn't it? You can then put a player that was out behind Daka. It's hardly the case of bringing two back must mean they're selling.

I don't know how good Hwang is but there is no point buying him and leaving him there as we need players now.

I think we will probably look at a player that can play through the middle or wide in a front 3, not really any point in singing someone who can only play as a central striker as they'll probably spend 90% of the time on the bench.
