January 2020 transfer window

cutrone will be fine, hes not getting minutes and still hasnt adjusted to our style, hes a year older than vinagre ffs.

really hoping for a strong, athletic central midfielder with an all round game.

we dont all have the luxury of being born in a first world country with friends and family to help us out

You haven't got any friends? Hmmmm

Oh great, another thread about to be ruined with petty bickering and backbiting

Apologies for that,I may have started it,didn't mean to

FWIW I think both Cutrone and Netto are serious options, and for all the bollox talked on here I'd like to point out that breaking into the top 6, 5 or 4 isn't just a question of shelling out 60m, you could do it with 200m possibly but watching the evolution of Wolves under Fosun (and Nuno) is far better than just chucking millions at it like Citeh! When we're winning titles year after year we'll enjoy looking back on todays struggles.

Ok I might be a bit optimistic but we are way ahead of expected progress, if we are only 2 wins in front of Southampton who were doomed a few weeks back.

I think my point is enjoy it for what it is, we won't buy instant success in any January window but we will keep improving for a while under Nuno then who knows...

it is proving to be a bloody tight league althpough , fortunately, there appears to be a bottom group neatly forming. We could easily be fifth on 2nd January or mid table given our next three games! Its that close.

Bravo sir, i like your optimism while retaining a bit of common sense

I'll believe it when I see it.

Nuno just doesn't cut his losses on players. He always wants to help them develop long term.

Wolves are reportedly interested in Fenerbahce's Ozan Tufan.

The 24-year-old is quite versatile and can play across the right hand side or in central midfield.

Wolves are reportedly preparing a €13m offer. [source: Krampon Sport]

I don't normally do predictions but for a bit of Christmas fun I'm going for it. We'll only sign one player, a big money midfielder and no-one goes out apart from Vallejo

I think a midfielders the position we need the least so I hope not.

Haha, opinions eh, I'm the other way, most imortant for me is cover/ future replacement for Moutinho. We got CB's comin out our ears and I'm happy with Neto and Cutrone up front, wouldn't mind cover/alternative for Traore, its just a matter of time till he gets crocked with the lack of protection by refs

Think we are definitely in the market for a player to cover or improve the Jota/Traore positions. Would give us four options which would be ideal. Spiers/E&S seem to think we want a centre back and a right-wing back from what I have read? (which indicates we may see Saiss/Donck as midfielders or at least versatile players rather than out and out centre backs)

Donk seems more suited to RCB to me, just needs more experience.

Plus my ‘Wolves Mad*’ step brother thinks he’s terrible there and he is literally wrong about anything wolves related ever.

:icon_lol:

I think long term Donck is a really, really good squad player to have. Right now I really like him as centre back and he is improving. 1v1 he defends pretty well, his passing into forward players really helps us and he is mobile enough to play that position too.

I agree, Donck is more useful at CB than midfield imo, although a very able back up midfielder

We can worry about a replacement in 2+ years time. We aren’t getting a better starting 2 so not really much point in looking there, particularly if it’s the only player we sign!

Depends whether we now see Saiss/Donck as defenders!

Well they are doing a job, but For me they are better midfielders. They certainly aren’t as good as Boly which is the calibre of player we should Be looking for. Signing a CB to replace them will improve the team more than a CM to sit on the bench (behind Saiss and Donk)

If we were to sign one player it would be someone to play in a Jota/ Traore role. That’s what will see us finish top 6/go far in EL or not.
