January 2020 transfer window

Please can we briefly enter an alternate universe where DW does in fact sign for Liverpool, and becomes the focal point of their strikeforce, heralding the most spectacular reversal of fortunes resulting in runners up medals all round.

Daniel Podence is due at #Wolves for a medical tomorrow (Wednesday) after agreeing a £16.9m (20m euros) fee for the Olympiakos winger: https://t.co/BML8gF4e0Y

That's a bargain. And cheaper than the fee reported last week! What were we buggering about at?!! ;)

Glad he's pretty much on his way now though. Should placate the Twatterati until... about lunchtime tomorrow when Fosun will be penny pitchers again for refusing to pay the extra €2.5m for Oliveira.

I'd get injured or ill after one game, there's the flaw in the otherwise excellent plan

Should get you a nice juicy 5 year contract though at say, £5k per week? You can spend it in the gym getting ripped, or going in two-footed on Henderson in training.

Looks like we've essentially swapped Cav for Podence - decent business

I don't understand these Traore rumors. I mean... he's having a great season, yes... but these liverpool, barcelona suggestions that people are making? settle down.

Im with this, Traore has been a revelation this year but irreplaceable - absolutely not.

My fear, slightly sometimes, is that we can be a bit one dimensional with him meaning that if he’s having an off day (which happens every couple of games) we can sometimes look a bit lost.

I wonder how people would feel if we received, say, £80 million for him which was then totally invested on the rest of the squad?

May well turn us into that Top Four force we’re aiming for?

All hypothetical, I know.

I'd take it.

Don't be daft, of course we'd take £80m. He's still only worth around £40-50m IMO, based on one half decent season.

Probably easier to go with FFS or Stinking out the Place for starters

Or "get him off, he's shit"

Can't be. It's been decided that Jeff Shi will do an interview early next week after we haven't signed anyone.
Embarrassing.

This is the flip side of the forum where the “glass half full” posters look like smug idiots.

Good news on Podence. Hope he’s not the only arrival this week.

Because believing any old crap on Twitter is much better...

Our fans are awful during transfer windows. Always.

Bless ya little socks Jinks. I dont do smug I just do shit jokes that tense people dont get.

Is the correct answer.

Absolutely the correct answer, for me.

His stock won’t get much higher than it is now - especially with the Klopp, Guardiola comments and the comments he made himself about Real Madrid......

Put it this way, we wouldn’t get much more than £80 million for Neves and Boly put together (if at all) I doubt......

Puts it into perspective, for me.

And if we did get 80m he would go with my good thanks and wishes. It would also save the blushes of a few on here as if he stays he is likely to be POTS.
