January 2017 Transfer Thread

Don't think Marshall will be joining (no great loss) and Gladon can go back and play for Heracles and I wouldn't rule that out.

Jordon Mitch courted by Reading, I'd be all over that, a proper footballer in the spot we really need.

Not a fan of Mutch, slower than continental drift.

Plus we have Lee Evans playing a similar role.

Mutch has gone for some sizable fees over his career and he has hasn't scored in 4 seasons. No thanks.

Mutch plays as a 10 predominantly and wouldn't occupy the deeper roles.

A number 10 with zero goals in 4 seasons... and to think Dave Edwards (29 goals in the same space of time) gets stick.

Linked to Nick Kuipers from Maastricht on Twitter..

Thing is Mutch can actually play football and it depends what you want your 10 to do. Create and score would be ideal but other than that creating and linking play would be the next best thing for me. Edwards offers the odd goal but nothing else and we all know that, I imagine even Dangerous knows that.

Mutch may not be that quick but then neither is Charlie Adam and he does alright in that role when further forward. It's all moot anyway as he's unlikely to join, I just mentioned it because I like actual footballers playing in the 10 role not runners.

Dave isn't playing at #10 any more though and we are using actual footballers there.

If we use Ronan and Bright fair enough but I can't see the value in Mason, I think he's as average a footballer I've seen and wouldn't be fussed if he was sold today.

I'd still like us to sign Mutch, and I'd also like Edwards to be dropped for Evans or Saville. Neither of those things are going to happen though.

I was at the ground earlier on a stadium tour (which I highly recommend btw) and the tour guide said he had showed a player around this morning. A Hungarian youth international centre half, 17. He is 'set to sign' after a successful trial. Didn't catch the name

From Wolves Academy Twitter...Wolves have signed 16 year old Daniel Csoka from Zalaegerszegi FC ( ZTE FC ) following a recent trial at the club

From an Hungarian Sports Paper... http://feol.hu/sport/csoka-daniel-ket-es-fel-evre-irt-ala-a-wolveshez-1814608

Daniel Kiss I guess is the English translation of his name
Gotta love Google Translate ( Not really, it's shit )

LOL Villa wasting money its great lol.... they will have no money to buy premiership players by the time they spend 200m getting out of the championship Tony Xia will never learn.

I think they'll have made money this window which all told is pretty good for them. (£7m for Gestede, £5m for Ayew, £5m for Westwood (if true)).

they have spent over 50m to be 4 points higher than us where we spent (before costa deal) 12m (ish) they have wasted soo much money cuz they just pay stupid money, its just funny i much prefer how we sign ppl we wont pay stupid money for average players anymore.

They dropped a bollock during the summer and now have had a positive transfer window in Jan. Seems like they'll be certainly in the mix for going up next season.

10m for Hogan tho ?? still overpriced for what they get imo

And they still turn a profit in Jan. Swapping Hogan for Gestede is a super piece of business if you ask me. I think they've done very well.
