JACKETT GONE

He's our manager now so lets back him irregardless of his past.

That's a bit random. Hope he does well.

A Zenga appointment would undermine the credibility of the new owners in an instant.

The owners need to show a thoughtful strategy at work and not turn the place in to a madhouse. You've got to assume they'll do the former, not the latter, but we shall see.

Hate to say it but this looks an imbecilic appointment based on his record.

Dan will have a conniption fit, I'm sure.

Zenga is formerly of Palermo and Sampdoria. Legendary Italian goalkeeper. And comes 10 hours after Jackett's sacking was announced. Wow.

Is this man on a different planet to us all? Does he seriously think Fosun just thought at 11.08pm to sack KJ and then they would start the search for a new Head Coach

He's managed more clubs than Leon Clarke has scored goals, seriously struggling to see the logic in this one.

Imagine Thelwell will follow soon.

He isn't needed for 1st team players anymore, but if Fosun are serious about maintaining the the U21 side of things, then he can stay and do that.

Fuck me!, let him get a few games under his belt.

It's difficult to see on what grounds this appointment stacks up.

Good luck to the guy and he deserves the support of the fans, but the concerns and relative confusion surrounding this are quite reasonable as far as I can see.

He'll get a chance won't he? He's a proper left field appointment that nobody was expecting, and on face value he doesn't look very good. Time will tell of course but people are naturally going to express their initial reactions in situations like these.

All doom and gloom initial reactions. Anything at all will be a massive improvement on last season it cannot be any worse. A massively successful investment company won't sit by and watch their investment implode either way.

Ok.... now I have picked my jaw off the floor I will try and look at the positives

Ikeme is fucked ! No way Zenga has a keeper who cant dominate his box.

I wanted Jackett to go as I felt he had taken the style and squad as far as he could. He goes with mostly good feeling.

Zenga may have some contacts for this level of football that could be useful.

And thats it .

However I wish him everybit as much success as Ranieri last season.

People just need time to adjust is all I'm saying. Zenga may well turn out to be an inspired appointment, but people look at stats first and foremost and draw conclusions, part and parcel of football.

Personally I'm looking forward to what he can do and have no concerns that the board will move to correct the situation if it's not working out. They want top flight football quickly and obviously know what they're doing.
