The players saturday weren't having arguments with the south bank. To be honest, I do have a lot of respect for them for trying to dissolve the anger that was there, and saying to the fans "we need you". It must have been fucking hard to do, to take harsh comments from a crowd of people. Strand Larsen, Krejci, Santi and a few others went up in my estimation as human beings to be honest. They handled it with maturity, and I do believe they're hurting from the results, like we are.
The players could have shied away from that very open, hostile criticism. I bet I would have, and I bet most posters would have too. They didn't need to expose themselves to the potential for abuse, yet likely knew they would get it.
Strand Larsen took the initiative and approached. Other players went to stand with him. But they did not have a go back at the fans at all.
I didn't think Vitor handled it as well as they did. That may be due to his character.
I don't think Vitor is the right coach for us. I think the forum is pretty united on Shi/the ownership. I don't think we need to be having a go at the players at the moment though.
