Yeah, this is pretty much it. Our poorest performances this season have been when the opposition have got on top of Neves & Moutinho - which is exactly what’s happening today.

We need to do something to counteract it but I’m not sure we will. Why is Bennett shooting ffs!

3 Huddersfield players surrounding any one of ours who get the ball and we can’t cope with it.

We’ve struggled this season when teams overrun Moutinho + Neves. It’s generally happened more with the sides in and around mid-table/bottom half, because the big sides don’t think they need to concern themselves with much of a gameplan v us at the moment (hence why we’ve had good results against them, generally). But when it’s a team we are expected to do well against (like today), they just sit on the midfield two and stop us from playing. Very frustrating to watch.

Things aren’t helped when so many of our players are having absolute stinkers - Cav, Moutinho, Doherty, Bennett, Raul... they’ve all been shocking.

Said in the run up I liked Wagner, and this is just reinforcing my belief in his tactical astuteness. Really taken away what our style is. Pressing and harrying in the right areas and then they are looking to draw our shape out and then going direct at our back 3. Nothing is holding or being built at the front for us as they aren;t allowing it to develop and seem to have keyed in on stopping our switches out wide.
