Windy ay it. Just been to fetch the bin back in, found it 3 doors down and in the road.

Windy it is - 70 mph down here.

My neigbour and I had to remove 24 ft of fencing from my front drive today (which was damaged in earlier storms) & lay it on the drive to stop it taking the rest out with it - have agreed a price for repair (at least sufficient to shore it up) but all contractors are so busy that getting them to do the work is difficult.

I need my son's to live nearer so they can come and help me with the repairs. How much of it is salvageable is open to question!

It's featheredge fencing & have another 24 ft still standing so fence panels would look very odd. When replaced will need wood posts, but will have concrete spurs attached at the bottom level which secures them

Our next door neighbour put godfathers in just before we moved in, that was 37 years ago, they're still there. In that time 2 posts have rotted away around the concrete and been replaced, all the others are original and still in decent nick. They're a good option.

A few years ago did the London to Cambridge cycle ride and the wind was blowing like a good ‘un up from the south. Knocked out the 60 miles in 3hrs 3 minutes. Bloody hell, felt like Bradley Wiggins. Must be what a e-bike feels like. God knows how long it would‘ve taken if it’d been blowing in the other direction. Absolutely knackering riding into a head wind.

Poxy weather, not stopped raining all morning here, me and the dog got soaked.
Entertaining an excitable 3 year old is challenging at the best of times. I've got a new motorbike that needs riding and the poor old dog has been moping about all morning, she much prefers spending the day lay on the lawn.
