Good people of Britain...........PANIC

People going home early :icon_lol:

I've been out walking this afternoon, it's like light rain but gets you less wet. BBC amended their forecast earlier to say South Wales will be the worst hit and we might not see any until 9-10am tomorrow. Who knows, it's all a guessing game. Yesterday they were saying Ireland wouldn't get any because the warm front was still just about there, now they reckon they're going to get the Chris Brunt of it.

Edit: Went in our local Co-Op at 4pm and the normally completely full bread shelves were totally empty. People really are stupid.

Just checked the BBC for where I am. Gone are the heavy snow falls forecasts but basically light snow from 3am tomorrow until Sunday

Depends mate. I looked last night when their own TV channels were forecasting the apocalypse and on the website it just said "light snow" for all of Friday. I don't know how they define these things!

If I had to put money on it I'd say 2-3 inches and no-one who actively tries to be inconvenienced will be.

But James said the Met office was correct and we would all be buried in snow. Did he lie to us all?

Maybe he's a Mayan. Literally top top predictors.

I like the Mayans, so he isn't one of them......

I don't think I'll get away with blaming the weather, unless I send my employers/clients a picture of my house with no roof.

Awesome, I can expect a day off then. All the teaching has been cancelled here but the uni hasn't been shut so...

The ex-Mr squeeze is met office and he is expecting a lot. Snow pretty heavy over at the sports arena.

I'm glad I did my emergency supply shop for beer. I knew the mayans had given the power to predict snow this week or I just read the weather reports because I really want to get to my job interview.

Got to love a bit of snow in Britain. Panic buying, time off work and schools shutting and warnings about not traveling. Accompanied by a Sky reporter standing in half inch of snow all day and giving us updates every 15 minutes.

Don't forget the constant picture update on facebook and Midlands today with people taking pictures of trees covered in snow.

Just tried to move my car and it won't budge because of the snow and ice great

Tyre chains don't help by the way.

Are you on a steep hill? I've never had a car that I couldn't shift and I've never owned chains and I've driven in over a foot of snow on the main roads. Well, except for the time I drove on the bottom of a ski piste at 4am thinking it was a car park, had to dig that bugger out with wooden signposts I ripped down before the skiers turned up
