Good people of Britain...........PANIC

And have been running well throughout snowmeggedon. And you know I don't like to praise London Midland.

Arriva too have been running well. In fact south Wales has coped well despite the red warning the MET Office gave us.

Just read the last few pages of this thread.

I'm sorry, but anyone who *really* wanted to get into work could have done so easily today. Any modern(ish) car would be able to cope with ice on a hill. Why didn't you get up earlier than usual to get the buses, or maybe try moving your car to the top of said hill the previous day when it wasn't icy? Bullshit excuses. I got to Surrey for 08:45 today and managed to escape any near death experiences.

Right then James.. When you get out of your pyjamas, what were you researching and how much did you get done?

I was out of my Pyjamas at 6am and I got a lot of research done. So thank you for your concern

A chap who works at our place has got himself into a tricky situation. He lives out in the countryside, and ploned in Monday and Tuesday saying he was unable to get to work due to the snow and ice.

On Monday evening a manager saw him at Morrisons in Hinckley, about a mile from the Industrial estate where we are situated........some explaining to do possibly.

So what's James going to do now then?

Someone had the whole day off yesterday because one of their headlights had blown
I wonder why teachers get a bad name!

All the Teachers I know on Facebook go mad at a bit of snow and the thought of a day off, that and the annoying habit of counting down the days until they get another holiday, not that I'm bitter much...

So, should we be running a sweep on whether it was safe for him to get out of bed today?

It looks like he'll have a real dilemma tomorrow!
The whole middle of the UK is gonna get dumped on by the look of it....

What WILL he do?
If he's got anything about him. he'll get a sack of salt into his boot and be getting it sorted before he goes to bed tonight.
