Good people of Britain...........PANIC

If they get plenty of grit down and traffic gets on the roads it'll soon improve conditions. Another five or six inches Sunday into Monday might be interesting.

Just walked home from work and had to go through an army of school kids who'd been let out early. I was convinced one of the little bastards would think it was hilarious to pelt me with a snowball but thankfully I got home unharmed.

Police are going to arrest kids who throw snowballs at unwilling passers by apparantly. :(

My car is a snow dream. Automatic, traction control and rear wheel drive.

Mine's an auto, traction control but front wheel drive. Works great with most of the weight on the front wheels especially uphill. The traction control lamp is a good indicator of when I might be over egging it. As has been mentioned there is always the option to go manual and/or overide the traction control.
Apart from a bit of ABS kickback, yesterday was fine.

More snow forecast throughout tomorrow and on Monday morning.

Got to say the Council round this way has done a great job. Got out of our street today and the roads are snow free. Brilliant job indeed, especially as yesterday they were getting close to be unusable

The main roads are snow free around here Ken but the side roads are still lethal around where I live.

As long as I get off my road the main drags through Pendeford are fine for now. The fact it is chucking it down again doesn't fill me with confidence about the drive to get the kids back to Bushbury later though.

I live in a cul de sac, and there is little chance of getting the car out, not that I intend to, but all the main roads in Hinckley are fine. Though it is snowing heavily at the moment.

Fairly steady snowfall here, since around 8am. Can't comment on when it started, as wasn't awake. it wasn't snowing at 2.30am when I went to bed.

The snow is quite fine, but has covered where people had cleared paths & driveways. In addition, peoples house roofs had cleared of snow due to escaping heat, & these are now covered again.

It wasn't forecast to start round here again til this afternoon when I saw the forecast yesterday. Current forecast is for snow all day & into the night, with no snow tomorrow, & some light snow tuesday...

James bought a new car?

Seems Sunday football isn't as snow proof as Thursday night football, big disappointment.

Hoping it starts snowing in Hull again so I can't make it back to Nottingham for work tomorrow...

Still snowing here - fine but consistent. Forecast is now it'll keep snowing through to the early hours, with perhaps an hours break, followed by snow throughout tomorrow morning.

Went for a walk earlier. Amazing how quiet it is out there!
Lots of people on a nearby hill having fun. Saw some very tired families, soaked through, going home.
Snow has settled on all roads, even major routes/dual carriageways. They'll obviously have the gritters etc out tonight for people to get to work tomorrow.

If it stays below zero though, we've snow that has settled on slush which could be dodgy.

Looks more like rain than snow in my street now, seems to be falling quite quickly where you can see it against the lights.

Should probably get some work done so it doesn't look like i went all out with a 3 day weekend.

We've got some awesome looking icicles on the eaves of the house!

Definitely still snowing out there - with the temperatures forecast and indeed further snow possible I don't anticipate getting out of the house much any time soon. 10 minutes' walk in whatever direction from where I live is going to be dangerous for the forseeable.

Just took the bins out. Six inches deep plus on the front garden. Surprised by today. By my estimates it has been snowing for 12 hours now today.

Still a bitterly cold wind here, sleet and rain.
No snow, 1 degree.
Ahem...
