General Wolves News

A good first step for our guys would he a disney+ subscription and watching all of Welcome to Wrexham and reading up on how they have grown and developed the brand of Wrexham, as opposed to our own attempts at growth.

Next steps would be bringing in an outside consultant to do a review of the club, its processes and departments and to audit how they compare. So thinking an ex director of football, technical manager from elsewhere etc.

3rd would be someone to drive scouting and data analytics for transfers, loans and developments. Pointless having a cat 1 academy and producing players that are leaving on free or sold from almost nothing. They will justify selling Mane and Gibbs-White as a value for its success. But it needs to be producing players to cover our incredibly small squad structure, not just bringing in finances that are wasted elsewhere.

I’m not sure the Wrexham model of famous actors fronting for some rapacious VC is applicable for everyone.

Its not but the work on brand growth through football and network creation is a lot more sensible than via an over focus on Esports. Whose brand has improved most over the last 5 years, ours or theirs? And then factor in the increased exposure of the Prem and the revenue it afforded is.

That's only come because of the actors though, or really 1 if truth be told, and the legal financial doping his reach offers them. There's little to be learnt from that without the same factor. Admired or appreciated, but not learnt. Blues tried to a degree and fell flat on their faces.

Also, employing management consultants to do a review is not at all a way to burn through a load of money to get told a load of bollocks that, having given payment to the consultants, results in making cuts elsewhere to because there is less money. Not at all.

They are fucking leeches.

I disagree with that Padd. People keep talking about our lack of structure and lack of staff in key roles with the requirements to do the role, the constant promotion from within despite a lack of prior success is an indicator of this. And it feels like our own internal team won't adapt or change.

Shi talks about having a new blueprint for consultation to Guo ready by the end of this season or potentially for the start of next. I don't have any faith in him being in charge of that. I want someone who has done that role successfully elsewhere to be involved and potentially advise or at least make suggestions as its abundant we don't have the expertise already in place given our post nuno direction.

It's not a management consultant we need it's an experienced football CEO. As usual the fanbase were gaslit into thinking there'd be material change when in reality Shi II was always going to get the role once Shi I became too toxic

Yep, the temp guy is forming our future strategy.
Doesn't sound very temporary.

Only hope is he does the opposite of the Shit Shi and actually speaks and listens to people who know what they are talking about rather than bin them becsuse they know more than he did.
