Getting to/from Watford on any given weekend is tough enough so I’d wager the pluses will be minimal.

Three times out the last five going to Watford on a Friday afternoon/evening I’ve ended going on the Saturday morning or not at all.

As I mentioned before there are/were train strikes due on Xmas Eve. No idea if that's still the case.

• From 6pm on Saturday 24 December 2022 – 6am on Tuesday 27 December 2022, which could impact travel plans over the winter break.

And heaven forbid if you have to get a train replacement bus service on any leg of the journey. I had to get one from Watford to MK the once as nothing was running out of Euston, got there for the earlier bus than on the itinerary and it’s still hadn’t turned up when the later bus was due. I had 7 minutes to get my train at MK and both buses were nowhere in sight so I ended up getting an Uber from Watford to MK. And that train changed platform at the last minute with no announcement so I nearly missed it.

Currently on the Southampton train from Manchester. They've just announced the train is stopping in Birmingham, absolute uproar from the passengers. Lucky I'm getting off shortly.

Wolves have just put out a video of the U21s pre match tactics talk. It was a lot of info. Down to what they wanted them to do on the first 2 goal kicks, where players should run depending on who they were being marked by etc. Some of the young lads looked bored!

Again really insightful, and not seen anything the like before.
Hammered home not who your being marked be but the position of your marker, so you can take players where they don't want to go this creating space for others.
If players can't take that in then they will have short careers

There are planned essential engineering works and upgrades taking place as Network Rail works to improve the railway, so we suggest you plan your journeys over the Christmas and New Year holiday in advance.
Some train services are affected and there will be disruption on many routes between Christmas Eve (Sunday 24 December 2023) and Tuesday 2 January 2024 inclusive.
Some train companies will be making changes to their timetable, and to some train times, to match services to the number of customers travelling.
There is also the possibility of short notice disruption due to industrial action.

So it's all good on the railway then.
