General Wolves News

Wolves fans are no more or less impatient, myopic or entitled than fans of any other decent-sized club with a bit of history. Kids on twitter shouldn't be taken seriously or considered indicative of anything imo.

Obviously young players tend to be inconsistent, they'll all develop and contribute at different rates, and they maybe won't all make it. We're asking them to help break into an elite cabal, not just keep us up, so it's a big ask.

It's obviously a clear strategy, and an exciting one, but it does take time. Maybe no fans in the stadium will help

What do you think the reaction would be if we finish, say, 12th this season?

I'd certainly rather be doing what we've done than, say, City at this point in their rise. That said, with so many of our rivals facing fixture congestion this season, we might have missed an opportunity. Still, the future is bright...

It would be called exactly what it is. A bad season. Needs context though, cup success, distance from top 6.

Finishing 9th but being competitive with the traditional top 6 and Leicester and Everton is an OK season.

Finishing lower than that though...we’d have to be falling behind some of Burnley, Blades, Saints, Newcastle, Leeds. With the quality we already have, the money we’ve spent, no Europe, already out the LC. That’s a bad season.

Can't speak for others. I guess the club would consider that acceptable in the short term.

It depends on the manner we achieved such a finish. If we could obviously see that it was a transitional period and there were plenty of green shoots and games where we clicked, and maybe it was just a tough season (if, say the top 6 from last year plus Arsenal, Villa, Leeds and Everton really kicked on due to momentum/investment) then it could be contextualised. Also depends on the points haul, and how far we were away from Europe at one end and relegation.

Burnley and Blades look they'll be fighting to stay up with Albion and Fulham looking at the way they've started this season so I have no worries about that.

We've had one bad game not three.

It would be a mix of opinions same as always. Tend to think on here, it will be more considered than say twitter but it would range from "its disastrous, wim gunna lose all our best players, to, "its all going to be fine, its part of a grand master plan." Personally, if we finish 12th but show signs of progressing in our style of play, I would be happy enough

Finishing 12th this season would trigger a Chernobyl sized meltdown on social media, there'd be all the usual fosun out, Nuno out, no ambisshun no passhun nonsense, if we are changing the way we play mid table would be about right tbh

I don't think three games tells us the whole story about anyone. We had a poor start last year, it's not beyond Burnley and Sheff Utd to get their act together

This is how I feel (you put it better than me)

I don't believe that would be acceptable to Fosun given that the transition is ultimately self imposed.

I don't think they'd be ecstatic, but I don't think it would cost Nuno and Jeff their jobs. Surely Fosun would be aware of the potential pitfalls of this transition

Calendar wasn’t doing too badly this year, until now.

Will just say that I really approve of the way threads can go wildly off-topic here and then swing back to the actual subject. Makes it feel like shooting the shit with pals at a bar/pub rather than some uber-regimented discussion board.

Vin looks as if he's just seen his fine new girlfriend, meanwhile Jota can't believe Ruben is dating someone that good looking. :icon_lol:

I'd be very upset. So upset, I'd have to comfort myself by searching out a burger joint that does fries in beef fat.

Speaking of, what's everyone's everyone's favorite burger place? And what makes them so good? Please spare no details.

When the new 'Make TWF Great Again' mod team takes over you're fucked.

A Burger van outside Molineux. They are 95% fat and 5%, probably, rat meat. Very nice with processed cheese on.

I remember you got one before we beat Forest 5-1. Sprayed sauce all over your top, wind assisted.

You refused my suggestion to do it every week to see if we got the same score.

By the look of the candidates they're mostly going to be geriatric, us kids don't stand a chance :)
