General Wolves News

Yes, and achieved a profit of what, £20m? So the signings add up, the sales dry up, we've got reduced revenues, no European football, and we have to break even for the three years between 2019 and 2021. I'm not saying we need to sell our anything like that, but that we're going to have to be very considered/creative. Breaking even under these circumstances isn't necessarily helpful to progress on the pitch

Costa and Cav sales won't go into last season though, they'll go into this. I think FFP gives you the total amount in sales up front whilst signings are amortised across the length of the contract. Plus Europe will mean we'll make about the same again this year even after the PL deduction for Covid. Unless Fosun spend £100m this window which nobody expects we'll make money across the 3 seasons let alone break even

I thought FFP had been relaxed for this season?

Thats for next years figures. Essentially combining this year and next into 1 for FFP rules as the the loss of fans and that income, came towards the end of last season and will include some, if not all of next.

Bournemouth fans getting uppity and righteous over this is hilarious

They're still pissy over them breaching EFL FFP and being called out for it

It's the news Wolves feared - Jonny Castro Otto has done his ACL.

Likely to be out for 6 months.

Left-footed defender Lewis Richards called up to the senior squad #WWFC

Tweet from Tim. Really, REALLY shite news and a massive blow for us. A LWB is an essential signing this window now.

Oh wank. First serious injury under Nuno I think, without wishing to devalue Boly's broken leg

Ouch - that's not good news. It looked so innocuous too. We'll miss him badly.

To put a positive spin on it, a real chance for Vinagre to show us his potential and make a name for himself.

Yeah, expected that it was serious with his facial expression too..massive blow

That’s a blow, wishing Jonny a speedy recovery. Opportunities for Vinagre but have to assume we will sign someone too!

Gutted! One of our most consistent players.

I'd imagine we'd be in the market now for someone who can play LWB - I wonder if Doc could shift over to that side?

He did get POTS at LB after all

Not.sure.if.serious

Swapping sides for Doc is just not a great option. It might be for Vinagre I suppose.

Ryan Giles recalled from loan perhaps? Don't think we will sign anyone, Vinagre has been talked up a lot - this is his chance
