General Wolves News

It means we are guaranteed a weekend off on fourth round day but I can’t see when that fourth round match can be fitted in then as whichever of us and United triumphs tomorrow will then be into guaranteed winter break and Europa League commitments all the way up to the scheduled fifth round date.

It's far, far simpler for us just to lose then :)

It will have to be that week before we go to Utd so the winner will play back to back cup games.

Hillarious if we’d been in the league cup too, literally couldn’t happen.

The other problem is it leaves a two day window to sell tickets as the United game is on the box and can’t move to accommodate a cup game later than the Wednesday night. It might have to be pay on the gate to make anything work. There certainly wouldn’t be time for AST or points priority windows.

And of course United already have a fixture on 29 January as they have an appointment to get gubbed at the Etihad

Manny was getting loads of shit on Twitter but didn't know he could block people!! His life on there is much easier now!!

Spiers and Jacqui Oatley are releasing a new Wolves Podcast via The Athletic.

Been watching Sheffield U v M.C. Henderson saves a penalty and has moved about 3 foot off his line as Jesus strikes the ball. Penalty not retaken as happened when We played them.

The VAR in the Prem doesn't look at the keeper leaving the line, so that has to be the on field refs decision. The one at Molineux was retaken as Coady was in the area before it was taken and then cleared it.

Every penalty taken has players inside the box but never retaken.
Beside that Lee Mason ref tonight is a right cunt - center of attention as usual

Yes, the distinction with Coady was that he encroached *and* was the one who cleared it.

The retake is only if one of the players inside the box is first to the ball to clear or score. If they are in the box but have nothing to do with what happens after the kick has been taken it is ignored.

You would think they would look at the keepers off the line but they got spooked by the crap amount of retakes in the Womens World Cup due to keepers stepping 1mm off their line and as VAR apparently has to be a deadly accurate call, they decided best way to deal with it was to ignore it.

Listened to it in the car earlier. Was alright, tbf. Mainly an introduction Podcast and both Spiers and Oatley spoke about how they became Wolves fans, their first games etc - and then went on to discuss the potential transfers. Key for me it was only half an hour, which is ideal. So many podcasts try and stretch their material over an hour and it just gets lost. Not a bad start.

Oatley is very good. Extremely professional broadcaster. That will help bring Tim's level up as well.
