General Wolves News

Tbf we don’t have much to moan about ON the pitch, currently - so might as well have a moan about something else. We probably have the worst drink and food selection in the Premier League.

Last night I ordered 2 x Bovril’s and a chicken balti pie at half time. The pie was alright but absolutely boiling, so why do they serve it up without a plastic fork or at least some serviettes? They could also give you a drinks holder or something to carry the hot drinks to your seat, rather than have them burn a layer of skin off my hand.

The upper north bank is also completely mental in terms of how it queues at half time and then bottlenecks at the end of the match as there is only one exit. Surely there would be massive safety concerns if there was a fire up there and people had to get out quickly?

Elimanated the threat of fire by removing all the cardboard drink holders, plastic forks & paper serviettes...

I had a Balti pie with a wooden fork yesterday. No problem at all.

The forks and serviettes are on the wall near the stand entrances and toilets. At least they were last season.

Surely you just nip between everybody's legs?

There are two exits in North Bank Upper, one at either end

At least now Jinky understands why some fans leave the North Bank upper before full time.

There is ALWAYS a bottleneck in those stairwells. Always.

There's three! There's two sets of stairs at the Waterloo Rd end of the stand.

That reminds me. I had difficulty leaving the stadium at half time yesterday. First of all they thought I was confused somehow (I must have a resting bewildered face), then they didn't believe that I wanted to leave and thought I was going for a ciggie and was going to try and sneak back in. I had to give them my ticket and tell one security bod he could escort me outside if he wanted. Bizarre scenes.

Timmy II going on about snide comments aimed at MGW on Twitter and how last night's going will shut them up.

I haven't seen any MGW-based slaggings off.

Probably not since MGW first laced up his own boots.

Where were you last night?

In a field near Weymouth pretending I don't hate both camping and beaches...

I had a steak and ale pie and it was pretty good, however, whats happened to the choccy bar and drink offer for me half time snack....no choccy bars at all.....wtf? they lady said '"I've been asked for chocolate bars loads, I'll mention it, we've got popcorn" huh, popcorn, this is the footy love, not the pictures. They also weren't accepting cash in the SB, not that its problem for me

They've tried to get too clever with the food but it's all gone a little bit to shit.

The quadrant is an absolute nightmare at HT, it's true. I always walk round all of the people queuing for food and go through the door that takes you into the NB upper (proper) and get served in there at HT instead. Much quicker. I guess the quadrant was designed to be annoying (difficult to get served etc) because that's where we assumed we'd be housing our away fans when the new NB was built.

Talking about people not having anything to moan about, when I got on my train back to London last night, probably the most Black Country person I've ever met leaned over and said "[tut], weren't very good in the first half were we?". I laughed and said, "I'm not sure what to say to that to be honest".

There are a few opinions floating around that he wouldn't be near the team if he wasn't local (citing the likes of Ronan and Bright as similarly talented players who have basically been cast out).

Question for folk who printed their tickets for last night.

Late last week I received another email from Wolves with a ticket attached. Didnt think anything of it and when I printed my ticket this week I used the most recent email.

Dan had the same but had already printed off the original. He then missed the start of the game as his ticket didnt work and he had to piss around getting that sorted. So did anyone else get 2 ticket emails and the original not work at the ground?

I was not best pleased about this. DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?

In all seriousness just tell me I have to reprint it rather then sending some odd unsolicited email and hoping I guess what they mean.

Bright isn’t anywhere close to similarly talented.
