To be fair it's been a couple of months since we last did it...

That doesn't help people on a tight tight family budget. I take a set amount of cash on the day, and any change goes back into the family finances. Sat on a pre-payment card it doesn't. Any contactless payment on top of the cash I take is extra leakage from the family finances as well.
It's an abomination of a decision and I am really pissed off about it.
I note from the Mix I am hardly alone in feeling put out by this as well. Cash tills had better be clearly marked because I absolutely will not use contactless. I want to pay fucking cash.
Really? You hadn't mentioned it

Not being a dick but i'd be interested to know why you don't like using contactless. It's a far more convenient way of paying for things. You can still separate cash into separate accounts with the same provider and manage it all from computer/phone, don't really get the downside to it.
Me too. I just prefer to pay cash, sometimes due to budget but mostly I just do
I don’t use internet, phone or any type of technology banking. I have paper statements and I make note of my cash withdrawals and tally them up. I have a set budget for a day at the football and withdraw that in cash so as to not exceed the budget. Contactless on everything would be a licence to overspend which in my current financial state is not an option.
Because there is no opportunity. If I run out of cash I walk home. Fuck off with the holier than thou shit BTW
Already shoutily dismissed by pro-cash Paddy. It does seem like the prepaid card idea solves the issue.
