General Wolves News

What position did Vinagre play for Portugal - and in what formation?

But mainly attacking down the left flank. Some lovely interlink play and a few very decent crosses into the area
Yes, he looked really good going forward and pretty good in defence. Perfect LWB tbh.

Trincão is also quite good. And some of Benfica guys did not play because the manager didn't have the balls to take 20 or so Benfica players. Quite a joke.

Vinagre is good going forward, but his defending is worse than Douglas's IMO.

Wolves mid-table at £5m according to this report. 9 Prem clubs incl. Wolves sponsored by gambling companies.

Interesting line in the report

"it is tempting to conclude that if you are a ‘big’ enough club with enough clout to attract a major international corporation or business, then your owners would rather stay away from ‘tawdry’ sponsorship deals with gambling firms"

Questions this raises imo - if £5m is accurate then although Wolves at present would fit the statement above, you would think Fosun in themselves have enough pull to generate the same level of sponsorship from somewhere other than gambling. It will be interesting to see if our upwards trajectory continues whether we move away from gambling.

Jota Instagram, watching the U19 game on Portuguese TV?? Naughty naughty :icon_lol:

Or possibly they’ve gone for a low end sponsorship deal and then when the bench mark is set at year one and wages can increase by £7m plus an increase in sponsorship deal.

Nothing illegal about it at all. If I wanted to subscribe to Sky Deutschland right now then I could and The Man can't touch me. I'd need a few things, a billing address in Germany, a German bank account to pay for it all and a satellite dish pointing in the right direction, but I would imagine none of those things are difficult to sort out for Diogo when the same applies to Portuguese TV.

If he were to open a pub in his front room and invite everyone over to watch Premier League content through a foreign broadcaster then that would be illegal.

Fair enough! Everyone to Jota's this Saturday then :D

Edit: Still going over my head that one though. That would mean you can legally watch UK 3pm games if you had the same with a USA package?

Only if you can pick up the satellite feed - which you couldn't do for a US focused beam, you can do it with European stuff since we are in a common market for goods & services.

I'm eligible to buy a ticket for the Man City game as of today but can't go. If anyone would like me to get a ticket for them, please let me know - there is still some availability for the game.

I've got a ticket in the South Bank for the Villarreal game and can't go. Anyone who has made a late decision to go but hasn't bought a ticket yet, you can have it...A small donation of funds or promise of beer is most welcome ;)

It's a "print at home" so I'll just forward the email to you
