General Wolves News

I've not long renewed my passport on line, had my photo done in a photo shop that uploads the photo to the passport office and they give you a code to enter, enter that code when renewing on line. Did cost me about a tenner for the photo mind but had my new passport through my door in 5 days
Hmmm - I need to check what time my ferry gets into Holyhead on the day of the Everton game...

(That's assuming I get to Ireland at all as I have to wait until pay day to apply for a new passport and a two week turnaround is pretty tight)

Wolves' first three home games of the new season have been moved for TV

August 11, Everton (h), 5.30pm (BT Sport)
August 25, Man City (h), 12.30pm (Sky Sports)
September 16, Burnley (h), 1.30pm (Sky Sports)

Superb I have a wedding on sept 15 so was gonna miss that one.

Nobody ever told me that. Mind you I started with paper only and none of this new-fangled bollocks.

Technically you're driving without a licence, could affect your insurance as well, loads of people get caught because they don't realise it needs renewing

I know but I can't afford the fees for both passport and driving licence renewal in the same pay month. I earn a fraction of what I used to and it barely covers the bills.

Nice. Got a stag do in Nottingham the day of City game. Both now do-able

Do the fixtures update/sync when games get changed around? Using Ecal with Android

last few bowls matches as the season ends mean I'll be able to check these games out, as am usually bowling at 2.30 on a saturday in august!

I still have a paper driving license too. I've never ever been told I need to change it!

Everton game kills me as Sister in Law has wedding reception that evening that would have been ok with a 3pm kick off

On holiday for City

Lad will have a game that clashes with Burnley

Happy fucking days.

If it was issued before March 2000 then it's still valid. There's no obligation to change it. As soon as you do change it - either voluntarily or by updating your address or whatever - then you're on photocards forever and the paper licence is permanently invalid.

It's a fine of up to £1k and 3-6 penalty points if they catch you driving on an expired licence and if it ran out two or more years ago they can make you re-take your driving test before they'll grant you another one (they probably wouldn't, but they would want to know why you left it so long).

It was issued in 1995 so I'm ok then.

So long as the address on it is still correct, yeah.

This is going to need some research now re travel!!

1st one will need an overnight stay as no trains late enough to get me back & don't fancy a three & a half or four hour partially in the dark drive afterwards

1.30 KO should be doable by train, but the 12.30 one will be tight - at least if I drive then it will still be in daylight.

(as for driving licences gets worse as you age - when my current one expires I am on 3 yearly renewals!0

Well I am getting it sorted ASAP then. Well over 2 years out of date and no way on earth am I "RE-TAKING" something that contains massive elements that didn't exist when I took the test in 1989. Theory for a fucking start.

The theory test is pretty much idiot proof to be honest.
I found it harder having a bloke flip through a book in the car, randomy pointing at a triangle or a cow or something.

Fuck means I been driving around Ireland on an invalid UK Licence for the last 12 years then!

Needed an overnight for the Everton game, but booked that now - more than I wanted to pay, but the cheapest (reasonable quality) I could get

The early kick offs on the next 2 are doable as long as I get up early enough as it means getting the 06.42 train out!!
